This is really cool, and you should feel damn proud of making it! I swear to god people get way too easily offended by the weirdest things, I’ll never understand it. Regardless, it’s nice to see the moderator team doing what’s right!
Funny how the building’s hit box is that comically inaccurate, yet the stairs that lead up to the gate are so perfectly modeled that human walker mechs can actually use them properly lmao
@Thelegitpilot13 it’s a very nice ADFX-02, but I had to keep the part count low. It may not appear this way, but my game was running at 1-2FPS in the second to last scene with all four aircrafts. However, using the power of video editing, I managed to speed the FPS up a little bit to smoothen things out. I had to keep the part count low in order for the best FPS possible, all while executing the scenes that I wanted present in the cinematic.
This has got to be the best thing I’ve ever made for y’all yet, this took over a month to complete, so many game crashes, so many nights filled with anger and frustration with SimplePlanes AI, utter lack of FPS, and staying up till unhealthy hours, but god DAMNIT it’s finally here!
I’m genuinely proud of this one, which doesn’t happen a lot with me. So please, do enjoy it as much as I hated making it.
This is so dumb lol
(for context, this is a variant of the ME-262 that has a 50mm. Anti-Tank & Anti-Bomber tank cannon, the joke is that I used it to refuel because german engineering go brrrrrr)
@SupremeDorian I think he reaches those speeds while diving, as apparent in the final battle scene of the first movie. During level flight I imagine he’s only going 300-400mph, maybe even 500 if he’s really overworking himself. It even says on Google if you search up his top speed, and it actually does tell you; 448m/s, or roughly 1,002mph. It also begs the question of how Hiccup even stays on Toothless while he’s performing highly agile maneuvers at high speeds, let alone endure the high G-Forces that have to be acting on both of them. He’s seen to make turns at incredibly high speeds that are tighter than something like an F-16’s turn radius, so it all seems rather confusing when you realize what kind of physics have to be going on while stuff happens lol. Then again it’s just a movie, so does it really matter in the end?
@Sparky6004 I’ll have you know I’ve gotten atleast four Yellowjackets on my hand at once, and none of them stung me. They were just vibin, there’s a hive in my grandmother’s barn next to the house and I was just getting them off the ground, letting them walk onto my hand. I’ve also done this with Bald Faced Hornets, European Hornets, and Brown Hornets, and I’ve yet to be stung. My advice? Just be careful with them, and don’t give them a reason to sting you, i.e. don’t try to hurt them or provoke them. Wasps and hornets can be cute too, you just gotta see them in the right light. As for this creation here, this is really cool! I love the way the wings move, it really emulates how they fly irl
Yeah! I’ve found that refreshing the game fixes this, but the spikes come back after 5-10 minutes of gameplay. Weirdly enough, there’s usually little to no lag at all in the actual world, yet the world is almost always laggier than the designer. Heck, the Devs even mentioned that they removed drag calculations in the designer to free up a little more FPS in a previous update!
That’s actually really cool! This could possibly be a way to “dock” with other players’ creations without the usage of magnets, meaning player made aircraft carriers can now hold other players without them sliding off, same with aerial aircraft carriers and everything in between. This is awesome!
@CC1010 that could be really cool, but I think with the way missiles work in SP, it can’t lock onto a flare. I think they only lock onto targets with an official targeting reticule, like players, AI Planes, land/sea AI’s, etc. Flares are their own non-targetable entity, much like missiles themselves, cannon rounds, bullets from miniguns and wing-guns, basically those kinds of things.
But hey, who knows! And I know the game just updated, but in future updates, there’s always the chance that the Devs surprise us. They certainly did that with 1.11, that’s for sure!
@Fluffysheep it doesn’t seem like something that would be operated in heavy terrain though, rather it would probably fight in populated areas with, at the very least, dirt roads and/or paths.
This build slaps harder than my dad’s belt

+8Ayy this pretty cool though, we could make a great team y’know
I made a happy sound when I saw this lol
+1@Sm10684 oh lord, not again

Edit: nevermind the hit box is also shite

+1@KingOog000 damn, you’re good! Do with this what you will.
+6Looks more like an F-15, but still pretty cool!
@RamboJutter looks and flies awesome! I love massive flying wings.
@Ryantopp spawn it in via AI Plane Spawner

@BogdanX this ME-262 was made well before fuselage slicing, so it still has the flaws of Z-Fighting paint layers. I appreciate the advice though.
+1It’s like a little kazoo!
+1@SupremeDorian that’s pretty cool, neat that the filmmakers actually thought to include that
This is amazing lmao
+4@WereOutOfNames it’s not too hard, although I’ve been playing this game for several years now, you could call me a professional SP Pilot.

Both of you are correct in this, but that is where the similarities end.

Yeah, the graphics are different and it’s a little weird.
+3@BlackhattAircraft I can’t tell, sorry
Easily the best B-29 on the website
+1HOT DAMN
@BlackhattAircraft seems pretty cool, I have a similar book on Post-WWI to Late WWII Era fighters
This is incredible, peak usage of SimplePlanes forums
+5True! The cockpit block doesn’t accurately portray how big a person is lol

@SupremeDorian oh cool, would you mind linking a vid of the scene? (I tried looking after seeing the comment and nothing relevant appeared)

This is awesome!
How do you enter this challenge?
@ManManTheWeaponsMan well then consider this post a redemption to your previous endeavor with my other CoilGun
@LocalAvgeek it does not. This is a WWI Era biplane fighter, if you pitch up too hard for too long, it’s gonna stall.
+1@Ozari077 dude. Check my series builds section in my bio. There’s a list called PUMF, I’ve made so many RailGuns...
@PetRussian sure
Hehe Gatling CoilGun go
