Back when it was posted, SimplePlanes was much more simple. Modding hadn’t been invented yet, finetuner and overload didn’t exist, along with half of the parts we have now. We had a lot less freedom with creating aircraft, and most creations tended to abide by Simpleplanes’ limits. But this creation, it took everyone by surprise, and was the last thing anyone expected at the moment. This aircraft has detailed wing shape, a full cockpit, and since size increments could only be increased by a length of 0.5 at a time, creating the complex shapes of this aircraft was extremely difficult. This is in fact the aircraft pushed all the boundaries of SimplePlanes at it’s time. 3D wing detailing was also unheard of as well, which is something this plane has. When you put it into perspective, this was practically a 1.8 build, posted in a 1.4 present. You have to realize, nothing that was ever posted before this came even close to the detail it has, and this aircraft was easily the greatest of its time.
Now, I’m pretty sure the only reason why it has over 1,000 upvotes today is just for the meme of it, so we could have a creation that has 1,000 upvotes, which if you’re curious, is worth 15,000 points!
Let’s just take a step back here:
Chuck Yeager is not only the first person to break the sound barrier, but he also served in WWII with 11 confirmed kills, and even flew in Vietnam. And all of that to live until the ripe old age of 97, there aren’t too many things as impressive as that, as he survived a world war, the Vietnam War, is the first person to break the sound barrier, and he passed away after a long life of 97 years.
In conclusion, some heroes don’t wear capes. They fly among the clouds at the speed of sound, serving our country standing tall and proud.
This stool appears to have only 250 drag points, which, by SimplePlanes standards, implies that this stool is more aerodynamic than your average fighter jet. This is beyond science.

In my personal opinion, they shouldn’t make a SP-2, but instead, completely overhaul normal SimplePlanes with features and graphics similar to what SR-2 got, it would be a lot better in my opinion than a completely different SP!
Is it possible to add realistic water to mobile like in the PC graphics, and/or an underwater camera view like in the Mod that someone made, as a default feature?
The entirety of the SP Community has created 99.99% of all vehicles, ships, aircrafts, and other things to ever exist, so inevitably, there’s a good chance that an SP Post will show up in the image results, simply from being a popular result; the SP Website is frequented quite often.

The problem is that every YouTuber who’s played SimplePlanes either A, already plays the game and may or may not be experienced, so they upload high quality posts, or B, they’re randomly playing SP for video content, and they have absolutely no idea what they’re doing. Most likely skipping any tutorials, and completely disregarding actual physics, they make a very poor representation of the game. Unfortunately, the YouTubers who actually know how the game works are the minority in this ratio, as in terms of popularity measured in subscribers, average likes/views per video, etc, they have a lot more attention than the actual professional SP YouTubers. As a result, the reputation of SimplePlanes is degraded for the most part, and the application is generally regarded as an unprofessional, mediocre flight simulator, when in reality, it’s the exact opposite and so much more.
This is actually so cool looking though, also quit saying everything here is “simple” when it’s 100x better than what a lot of other users could do.

I know this post is old, but I just had to share this.
I have a friend in school who's an absolute god with anything that has to do with aircraft. Since I am too, we're pretty good friends. The thing is though, we're always kinda made fun of for knowing all that stuff about planes and whatnot. It's pretty stupid, but I don't really care what everyone else says about me.
Jokes on them though, 'cause we'll be the ones laughing when we have awesome jobs, brrrting the shit out of ISIS in A-10 Thunderbolts, while they're stuck in a dead-end job working in an office.
Depth Charges - An explosive weapon that sits stationary in the water and detonates when something hits it.
Nukes - A bomb that is incredibly powerful and won't lag as much as custom bombs in SimplePlanes because it's only one entity. Should have a mushroom cloud explosion. Should have the option to be a Nuclear Missile too.
Railgun - a massive gun that fires an explosive round up to 10 miles away. (I know that actual railguns have non-explosive rounds, but this is SimplePlanes, so anything is possible!) Should have recoil unlike the guns we have now. Should have an option to be Electromagnetic or not.
Smart Missile: A missile that when launched, Sets plane to AI and lets you control the missile to go where you want it to go, like flying a plane. Doesn't have to lock onto a target to fire, and if the enemy fires a missile back, your plane will automatically dispense flares when needed.
Flak Cannon - A double-barreled AA-gun that automatically locks onto a target so you can fire at them. Rounds should be more powerful than the stock minigun if or when they hit an aircraft. If possible, rounds should detonate mid-air like an actual Flak-Cannon.
Lazer - A futuristic weapon that fires a constant, destructive beam at the enemy. Should have the option to change lazer color, and if it's explosive or not.
Bio-Weapons - A weapon that uses some form of biological power that can destroy many things at once. Should have a different explosion color, like green or yellow. Should have the option to be radioactive or not. (This means that it would deal damage to entities long after the explosion happened.)

This update is freakin amazing. This cockpit here, before the update, would’ve easily been over 2,000 - 3,000 parts, no doubt at all. Now, something even more detailed than this can be made with less than a few hundred. The progress this game has seen throughout its six-ish years of existence is one of the most incredible timelines of video game advancement I’ve ever seen.
How to make an actual coin out of this: (seriously)
Step 1. If you have one, use a 3D Printer to print out the coin, any color plastic works.
Step 2. Grab a container of some sort, such as a Home-Depot Bucket, and fill it with sand.
Step 3. Purchase some Pewter items at your local thrift store, these will be your source of metal. If you didn't know, Pewter is a very soft metal, and can be melted on the average stove top. Because of this, it's very easy to melt, and can be used to make casts!
Step 4. Create a hole in the sand that you poured into the bucket earlier, and place your 3D Printed coin about an inch below the surface of the sand. Cover it back up, but leave a small hole in the surface leading to the coin.
Step 5. This next part can lead to possible injuries, so listen closely. Heat your Pewter up to 500°F on the stove in a small frying pan, for about 5-10 minutes.
Step 6. Use a knife, or any other piece of metal that is relatively flat, and clear the slag off of the surface of the molten metal. Be sure to wear oven mitts!
Step 7. Using your oven mitts, grab the pan and very carefully, pour the molten metal into the hole in the sand. Make sure you only pour as much as you need, instead of the entire pan, to make sure that Step 8 is as easy as possible.
Step 8. Wait for the metal to solidify, and remove it from the sand. I suggest you keep the oven mitts on, since while the metal may be solidified, that doesn't always mean it's lost it's heat.
Step 9. You may notice that the coin has a slight imperfection where the metal was poured, to remove it, simply use a sanding belt if you have one. If not, normal sand paper or any other means of sanding will work too, it'll just take longer.
Step 10. To finish off your coin, use grit 80, 120, and 400 sand paper in that order to smooth out your coin's surface.
Step 11. Enjoy your new Kingslot Coin!
I remember something like this actually happened before, there’s a very unique version of the B-29 Superfortress called the SB-29. Instead of carrying bombs in its Bomb Bay, it carries a lifeboat under the fuselage, and would be deployed for lifeboat reasons. Basically the aircraft got relatively low to the water’s surface, and airdropped an entire boat for whoever was in need of rescue below. Pretty cool concept actually, I wonder why it was canceled and/or if it isn’t canceled, why isn’t the idea being put to use?

I know this post is old, but I just had to share this.
I have a friend in school who's an absolute god with anything that has to do with aircraft. Since I am too, we're pretty good friends. The thing is though, we're always kinda made fun of for knowing all that stuff about planes and whatnot. It's pretty stupid, but I don't really care what everyone else says about me.
Jokes on them though, 'cause we'll be the ones laughing when we have awesome jobs, brrrting the shit out of ISIS in A-10 Thunderbolts, while they're stuck in a dead-end job working in an office.

Depth Charges - An explosive weapon that sits stationary in the water and detonates when something hits it.
Nukes - A bomb that is incredibly powerful and won't lag as much as custom bombs in SimplePlanes because it's only one entity. Should have a mushroom cloud explosion. Should have the option to be a Nuclear Missile too.
Railgun - a massive gun that fires an explosive round up to 10 miles away. (I know that actual railguns have non-explosive rounds, but this is SimplePlanes, so anything is possible!) Should have recoil unlike the guns we have now. Should have an option to be Electromagnetic or not.
Smart Missile: A missile that when launched, Sets plane to AI and lets you control the missile to go where you want it to go, like flying a plane. Doesn't have to lock onto a target to fire, and if the enemy fires a missile back, your plane will automatically dispense flares when needed.
Flak Cannon - A double-barreled AA-gun that automatically locks onto a target so you can fire at them. Rounds should be more powerful than the stock minigun if or when they hit an aircraft. If possible, rounds should detonate mid-air like an actual Flak-Cannon.
Lazer - A futuristic weapon that fires a constant, destructive beam at the enemy. Should have the option to change lazer color, and if it's explosive or not.
Bio-Weapons - A weapon that uses some form of biological power that can destroy many things at once. Should have a different explosion color, like green or yellow. Should have the option to be radioactive or not. (This means that it would deal damage to entities long after the explosion happened.)

+10Step 1. If you have one, use a 3D Printer to print out the coin, any color plastic works.
Step 2. Grab a container of some sort, such as a Home-Depot Bucket, and fill it with sand.
Step 3. Purchase some Pewter items at your local thrift store, these will be your source of metal. If you didn't know, Pewter is a very soft metal, and can be melted on the average stove top. Because of this, it's very easy to melt, and can be used to make casts!
Step 4. Create a hole in the sand that you poured into the bucket earlier, and place your 3D Printed coin about an inch below the surface of the sand. Cover it back up, but leave a small hole in the surface leading to the coin.
Step 5. This next part can lead to possible injuries, so listen closely. Heat your Pewter up to 500°F on the stove in a small frying pan, for about 5-10 minutes.
Step 6. Use a knife, or any other piece of metal that is relatively flat, and clear the slag off of the surface of the molten metal. Be sure to wear oven mitts!
Step 7. Using your oven mitts, grab the pan and very carefully, pour the molten metal into the hole in the sand. Make sure you only pour as much as you need, instead of the entire pan, to make sure that Step 8 is as easy as possible.
Step 8. Wait for the metal to solidify, and remove it from the sand. I suggest you keep the oven mitts on, since while the metal may be solidified, that doesn't always mean it's lost it's heat.
Step 9. You may notice that the coin has a slight imperfection where the metal was poured, to remove it, simply use a sanding belt if you have one. If not, normal sand paper or any other means of sanding will work too, it'll just take longer.
Step 10. To finish off your coin, use grit 80, 120, and 400 sand paper in that order to smooth out your coin's surface.
Step 11. Enjoy your new Kingslot Coin!

+9I remember something like this actually happened before, there’s a very unique version of the B-29 Superfortress called the SB-29. Instead of carrying bombs in its Bomb Bay, it carries a lifeboat under the fuselage, and would be deployed for lifeboat reasons. Basically the aircraft got relatively low to the water’s surface, and airdropped an entire boat for whoever was in need of rescue below. Pretty cool concept actually, I wonder why it was canceled and/or if it isn’t canceled, why isn’t the idea being put to use?
