This flag is my masterpiece. The United States of America. My birth nation and my home for 11 years. (I am not 11 years old). This is the flag of the nation born out of fire and bloodshed, the United States. Having been around for about 244 years, the United States has become the 4th largest country on the planet. The United States has, by far, the largest military budget, beating out places like China and Russia. In fact, the United States spends more on it's military than anyone else in the world, by over $200 Billion. The flag of the United States consists of 13 red and white stripes, which signify their humble-ish beginnings as the 13 British colonies, and 50 stars, which all together represent the 50 states. The red signifies valor, the white signifies purity, and the blue signifies justice. Finally, the stars are a symbol of the heavens and the goals to which humankind aspires.

Each star does represent one state, but not a specific state. You can’t say that one star represents California and another represents New Jersey. They represent the unity of the states as a whole.

People call the U.S. a mixing pot with many cultures blended into each other, while that is true its more like different liquids with different densities and surface tensions being poured into a bowl and separating with layers.
