He111 Blitz w/ SC250 Ordinance

The Heinkel 'Blitz' is the bomber that almost killed the RAF. Designed in disguise as a civilian transport, the distinctive greenhouse nose and wing shape created a fast and agile bomber. However, what was gained in speed was lost in defence, with weak onboard weaponry cursing the bomber in later years of the war.

Features a Lotfe7 bombsight that calculates angle and trim based on your height, drops 8 German SC250 bombs.

P I L O T S N O T E S
CAM1 - Cockpit mode
CAM3 - Bombsight mode
ACT1 VTOL DOWN - Flaps
ACT2 - Autopilot For Stable Bombing Runs
ACT3 VTOL - Bombsight Scouting ahead/behind
ACT4 TRIM - Bombsight Angle Computer
ACT5 - Bomb Bay Doors
Hold Fireweapons - Standard bombing
ACT6 - Release-all bombing

Follow these steps correctly and you will hit anything.
Bombsight (cam3) requires you to choose your desired bombing altitude, ranging between 9,000 ft up to 21,000 ft.

The center circle (ACT3 VTOL) is used only for scouting ahead, or watching your bombs drop behind you. Return the hollow arrow to the black arrow for bombing.

Let's say you wanted to bomb at 15,000 ft. First, takeoff and gain altitude so that you are roughly at 15,000. Using ACT4 TRIM, adjust the numbered dial on the right down until the arrow is aligned to 15. When you reach maximum speed, the bomber should level off perfectly maintaining 15,000 assuming autopilot is on.

Hit ACT5 to open the bomb bay doors. Correct your aim using light taps of roll left or right. Fireweapons to drop bombs.

If you are flying absolutely level at 15,000 ft, with the bombsight scoped in correctly, you should be able to easily hit whatever you want. Enjoy!

@F104Deathtrap Fun fact - pretty much the whole cockpit assembly is entirely made using the physicless structural wings, including all of the scope insides, just to cut down lag for mobile users. For me, this flies like a 240 part plane.

Realistic, functional and beautiful, especially the cockpit. If you had used 1,000 parts it would be impressive but only 500? Amazing! To make something with this much detail that almost anyone can fly is both skill and thought. Great job.

@AceOfSpade the do335 was not a fighter. it was a so called jagdbomber (they even had a bomb bay). it was ecentially the fastest not jetpowered bomber of all times. sorry that i use the german word for this type of plane. im not sure waht they called in english.

The do335 may have had speed, but that does not mean that it has loiter time over an area unlike the A-1D that had a loiter tine of over 2 hours with a 2 ton bomb load.

    @AceOfSpade nope. the do335 was only 100 km/h slower than a me262. the a-1d had a topfspeed of 500 km/h.

Once again @Weaverfish you are amazed me with your technical yet, realisticly shaped build. Im in love with your build style. And with this details on the bombsight system i don't know what to say.
