"Famed for its Fuel Consumption and Wobbly Landings"

So, this peculiar object is built with several insignificant objectives in mind:

1. Feasible.

(Who am I kidding...)

2. Below 700 Parts.

(Dramatically Failed)

3. Looks Good.

(Beauty is not in the eyes of beholders)

4. Does VTOL things

(Maybe)

Thingamajigs(AG7; AG3+VTOL)

Controls:

- Pitch to Pitch, Roll to Roll, Yaw to Yaw.
- VTOL: Flappës
- Trim: Trim (how novel)
- AG1: Blinkies
- AG2: Spot-Blinkies
- AG3: Enable VTOL stuff
  • AG3+VTOL: Engine Tilt
  • AG3+AG4: Massively powerful Airbrake (Makes VTOL landing a bit easier)
- AG7: Door and things

Sidenotes:

Suggested landing procedure, in sequence:
1: Throttle down to ~20%, groundspeed ~150kts
2: Extend some flap till the plane flies level
3: Activate AG3 when flap slide is around half way down
5: Brake. At 80kts GS, flap full down, apply throttle ~40%, pitch backwards to slow down, expect to gain altitude.
6. Below 40kts GS, activate AG4, reduce horizontal speed by flying the thing as a helicopter, add thrust if necessary.
7. Descend, throttle ~50%
8. ~58%-65% throttle to make a survivable landing
9. Reduce thrust immediately after contacting ground.

Or just land it, skip the hassle.

also at ~65% throttle it starts to lift off

Anyway, don't drink paraffin and have a good day!

@frame I completely understand your position. I will keep plugging away at it until I resolve the issues. Eventually I will get there, and hopefully I can learn a bit along the way.
Thanks for taking the time to reply. And thank you for your honesty. I appreciate it. Best of Luck in all your future endeavors.

@gyros81 I absolutely hate myself for saying this, but I resort to not publish variants to complicate things up. I am also rather tight on time at the moment.
I use very little "advanced techniques", and even less that deserves to be shared, so perhaps ask help from nicer people of internet (or better yet, collaborate with experienced others)

I was very impressed with this design. I've been exploring VTOL craft quite a bit, and this one is one of the better I have found.
Is there any chance of convincing you to create/modify a version with a larger cabin/ more seats without sacrificing cargo space or balance?
I'm still VERY inexperienced in this game. I've been slowly teaching myself by modifying other's designs, but I'm not nearly advanced enough to alter this one without causing severe issues. I hope you don't mind that I was playing around with your design a bit. I was trying to graft your framesonics 4 seater cabin onto your framewobbler VTOL body without losing any of the cargo space. However I just can't seem to pull it together into a stable, working model. I can get one that flies decently, but things keep going catastrophically wrong.
I thought it was a cool idea, and I would love to see a properly done version.
    Any luck?

This thing is super cool, I'm having a lot of fun flying and landing this thing pretty much wherever I want. Paused the game to leave this comment, I'm going to go fly it some more now.
