heres some rare pep- i mean planes for you to look at. Some are prototypes, some are variants, and one is photoshop
so
lets begin
Helio Stallion
but with rockets
basically this was used to carry big boy toys between bases. As cool as it would be, it didn't actually launch them.
P-40 with different landing gears
Here's some unique landing gear variants. The skis were used in snowy climates (obviously), and the tank tracks were designed to make unpaved runways easier on the pilot. 3 axle variant was likely for less stress on the wheels when strapped with bombs.
DC-3 Float Plane
This plane was used in New York for moving passengers around the waterways.
Savoia Marchetta S 55
Italian engineering that could go 127mph (or 175 if you nose dived). It's a double hulled flying ship. It was built in 1924, and set records for speed and payloads before it was retired in 1945. More than 240 of these bad boys flew in the sky, but the last one is in a muesum in Brazil. The weird part is, the cockpit was in the middle wing.
Jabiru 433
imagine a Cessna made in South Africa with two engines... that's what this is. It's a experimental plane.
Gulag
the power of photoshop compels you
Vought 326
Experimental high altitude aircraft. Two of these bad boys were built in 1943 by Pratt and Whitney, and it used the turbo-supercharged R-4360 Wasp Major engines.
Unidentified Helicopter Prototype
thats all boyos
oh, and not to brag but
@ uno online: DC-3 Float Plane is so cool. I really like it
Tu-8
[The Bias lives on]
i can't get over how weird the Marchetta is!
@CursedFlames Pe-2048
7th gen @Dragon77
Coming to War Thunder soon: Tu-8
No Ka-17? It's probably the craziest plane I've seen (never actually flew, but still). And there's already a Simpleplanes version here.
That unidentified helicopter prototype is epic though! Is it 6th generation?
(uneasy noises)
When is Sacred Planes #2
The Vought looks genuinely awesome.
gulag express
What about the jet King Air? or what about the jet Chika? (I153) lol
@iLikeipads XD
@Mostly very
Well okay then
That tandem-TU-4 looks terrifying
