1st is Simple planes 2.
I know cheesy. But seriously have you seen that thing?! Not out yet. Please wishlist on steam.

2nd is War thunder mobile.
It’s really fun and replayable. Other than that, just fun.
Price: Your soul and time.
3rd is War thunder.
Well. Most play it. But if you don’t. PLAY IT!
Price: your soul with micro transactions!
4th is Ultimate Admiral dreadnaughts
It’s a sandbox and campaign game. I recommend.
Price: a bit pricy at $34.99
Runner ups
5th is Stormworks. It’s like SP but more blocks and ships. Price is $24.99
6th is RavenField. Basically a mod able COD. Price is $17.99

Cool game with much more in-depth combat but still very approachable, also made by a former BeamNG.Drive dev so the destruction physics are pretty good.

Most major difference between SP and Stormworks is that Stormworks (and most player built vehicles) have human useable interiors and Stormworks doesn't have any base weapons systems (due to it being a game focused on S&R)
I might also recommend:
Trailmakers, really clunky building UI on PC but "fun" until collision models go wacko
Scrap Mechanic, a much better alternative to Trailmakers
Brick Rigs, lego Scrap Mechanic with a more human-friendly environment

you can build stuff, there are so so so SO many planes available for download, and it also has amazing crash physics.
Here’s some games I’ve played that might appeal to SimplePlanes enjoyers.
- Flyout: more in depth but more focused on realistic aircraft.
- Brick Rigs: Like SP but everything is made out of Legos. Tons of features, easy recommendation.
- Teardown: blow stuff up, drive cars. Good game.
- X4 Foundations: my favorite on this list, absolutely massive space game.
- Ace Combat 7: planes go brrr
- JNO: like SP if it was kerbal space program
- Space Engineers: idk I’ve never played it but a lot of people seem to like it.
@AeroTactical it was pretty decent imo, I honestly prefer Juno as ksp just feels a little clunky and dated now. It does have quite a bit of character though.

The UI is also cancerous mobile game UI.

@Graingy ykw you're right tbh, I got WTM but quit because I found their lack of aircraft disturbing, unlike the PC version which basically has a fever-dream level of variety (one of the things WT does right)
Yes, I redownloaded WTM when they added aircraft, and yes, I still found it lackluster.
I’d also recommend Juno New Origins and From the Depths
Oddly I haven’t seen KSP here. Yeah it’s a dead game, but it’s still solid as hell.
