2,613 Tythatguy1312  4.6 years ago

Earlier today B-17G "Nine O' Nine" was circling back for a landing at Bradley International Airport when the aircraft crashed into a Maintenance Shed and burst into flames. 5 people are dead and Nine O' Nine appears to be a complete loss based on photos of the wreckage.

Even worse, the last surviving Northrop N-9MB crashed into the courtyard of a California penitentiary in early April this year during a test flight. Totaled the plane leaving basically nothing behind. :,(

I was at work when I heard the news. You know, if my bucket list gets shorter, I want it to be by own doing, not the world's.

That sucks... I saw about that earlier today, and it’s truly sad we lost another fortress of the sky.

When it comes to a duel between the ground and aviation the ground is yet to lose.
