Yesterday I saw these two... huge round things in the sky. They were really far away but they were so huge I could see them clearly from miles away!
Correction: that was just your mum's ass. Sorry.
@bosscai @KDnotSpy Yeah not quite mobile friendly unfortunately. This one is more just made to be curatable. If I removed anything else, I'd be taking off essential parts in the cockpit, which is a bit lame in VR.
If I get rid of the cockpit entirely, the part count goes down to roughly 500, but that also means you don't get any of the cool propeller stuff like the mixture and prop control, and you can't start the engine lol.
Also, the traction and weight transfer physics are garbage, and and the force that tyre exerts actually occurs at the centre of the wheel instead of the ground.
Ooer, probably should make those rivets out of text parts rather than making every individual one. Making them like that has gotta skyrocket the part count...
@Grroro Um no that's not what I'm talking about. I have no problems with using calculus to make equations. That's totally fine.
What I'm talking about is the fact that there's no tutorials on how to fit the code together in- game (for example, the funky trees guide should be easily accessible as an in-game explanation from the devs), and there's the fact that if you want to make a long, complex equation, it all has to be done on one single line, which causes nightmares when it comes to sorting out syntax. There are also no tutorials on how to make basic, commonly used codes like custom inputs or free spinning rotators, and the devs make no explanations on how to use new features in the game other than "we added it" when an update comes out.
And look at the tutorials. The building tutorial doesn't even touch on fuselage blocks or cockpits, there's no tutorial that even mentions that funky trees are a thing, and there's no explanation of how to use variables or what anything means or how they work.
There is a LOT the devs can do.
@Bellcat Yeah they take on only the best builders who also have good relations with the main people who hang out in the group I'm pretty sure the bronze user who they're mentioning is either a moderator or is a good builder. Anyway, they are elitist, I'm not being sarcastic.
This is a cool looking plane! Although does not feature any design characteristics of a German aircraft. Maybe American, or with a stretch British, but not German. Especially not a Messerschmitt...
In Overload, change the part ID for the wings from wing-3 to wing-2
Aka, basically turn it into a structural wing. If you wanna make it a bit more straight forward, while you're building, grab a structural wing instead of a primary wing, and in overload, enable control surfaces on it.
You probably could make it by using a normal engine and adding funky trees to simulate it's power output vs speed, but yeah if you wanna make it based on SP's drag and combustion model, you're miles out of luck lol
I like to wonder what WWII nose art would be like if it took place today, and the planes were flown by zoomers.

Dunno if this is my computer or not (it likely is), but after this update, I am getting HUGE lag spikes (3 seconds of frozen screen) in the designer now, especially after playing for long sessions. It mostly happens if I do something with a menu open, or while I nudge parts or edit text. If I'm not doing that, they happen regularly every about 15 seconds.
Lag spikes have happened forever, but never this bad. Anyone else getting this?
Oh I think the colour textures are a bit messed up for the new wheels. They're all the same colour, the rim is the same colour as the tyre.
You also can't reverse their tread direction, and the select colour flashes when you adjust the size and stuff.
Did you intend for these to be added in this update? They seem far from polished...
Saving blueprints individually would be nice too. So when you want to build a plane a again the saved blueprint is just there, or if you want to compare different blueprints or use multiple blueprints for the same build, you can just select a different one. I do this quite often in Designer Suite
I agree, but it would be pretty difficult for the devs to implement. Currently the way text curves at the moment, it's not actually curving. The letters stay flat and the they just change orientation.

For me it seems to happen almost randomly
+3@DeveloperKorzalerke Bro I have like 200 or something
+3Hot dogs! Warm body temperature! Nice and fresh! Developed by inside of dog!
+3@Airbusa320neo I've simulated rotating prop wash hitting the side of the tail :)

@BeastHunter You grab the black strip at the bottom and drag it up
+3The no livery
+3@DeveloperKorzalerke Well, you can't exactly teach someone how to be mechanically minded...
+3Wow, it is quite impressive how well this effect works :D
+3The only problem is you can't really use it on tapering edges or uneven curves..

Gee that heli on the front though, probably better if you had made a new 20-ish part version and this would have been way more part efficient lol
+3Yes we should give literally every single user on the site their own tag... for some reason...
+3@Phoebe Why should we have to go into XML to do it

+3me everytime I get the 69th upvote:

+3High visibility.
+3Makes it stand out more in the thumbnail
Is that your DC-3? Tag me if so. It's looks beautiful.
