Alright. So you’re new to this game and you want to download some cool builds. So you go to the best users page and take a look at the what the top users have made so you can follow them and have a supply of some great builds to play with in-game.
Would you rather the planes that the highest rated users have made be:
Awesome, High effort builds made over a period of at least 3 weeks
Builds that probably took 10 minutes to make and are all identical to each other, making you wonder how the hell is this person first one of the top 5 on the site
Ngl, if I were going to the best users page, I’d be expecting some pretty awesome aeroplanes. If I wanted some lame planes that I could make myself, I’d be going to the newest section.

Because of reasons, players can get heaps more points from quantity over quality. If people were allowed to upload as many planes as they wanted per day, you’d get a bunch of spam accounts that upload like 10 planes per day every day, and even though each plane would only get about 4 upvotes, over each day they’d get 40 upvotes, which over a week is 280 upvotes. This would be completely unfair to people who put heaps and time and effort into their builds and there would be a lot of complaints.

There was a person who was in here a while ago called ccooperwho did this, but uploaded 5 builds per day (because you could do that 4 years ago) and he would upvote a build for anyone Who gives him an upvote, so bronze players would farm him to get upvotes.
His builds would average about 40 upvotes, even though each of his builds likely took around 30 minutes to make and were just recycled versions of old builds he had made the week before. This guy reached 100K in about 2 months, almost beating SpiritusRaptor and Delphinus to be first to get 100K. Obviously this guy got heaps of flack from those who used effort to make their builds and subsequently, the maximum planes uploaded a day was lowered to 3, and eventually ccooper left after one person called him out and he had a tantrum. (Yes, his ego was enormous too)

So yeah. That’s why you can only upload 3 planes per day.
The thing I hate the most about explosions in this game is when you have a prop strike. Basically the force of the explosion is so massive that it flings you backwards at over 300 miles an hour and you can glide your way up to over 2000 feet. Just from your prop breaking off. It’s idiotic. 😤🤦♂️

Also jus ignore me looking through your profile trying to find a kinda big, grey, 6 engine flying boat that was made not long after fuselage blocks were added to the game and I can’t remember who made it lol
Also, a decoration system would be great. It’s pointless having planes that have the potential to have about 600 parts with part counts skyrocketing up to 3338 parts just because doing proper liveries takes a ridiculous number of parts.
I guess there was no other way of doing it really. Basically the issue was that she decided not to reveal it until really late when she was pretty good and very well known, and revealing it so late meant that it was inevitably going to end in a bit of a disaster since so many people on this site were guys. The reason this hasn’t happened before is everyone else who’s been revealed to be a girl on this site (ie, pyromaniac and Delphinus), revealed they were girls very early on and so it wasn’t so much of a drama and everyone accepted it. Randomusername pretty much trapped herself, so this reaction was inevitable and would happen eventually. Also, I’m not saying that this makes the sexism OK, what I’m saying is there was going to be a reaction that she was a girl. You can still do that without being sexist. The same way that someone revealing that they were actually a real life millionaire or something would get a reaction.
The cool thing about aviation is cleaner, more efficient aircraft are the cheapest ones to run so planes are for ever going to get more eco-friendly. Especially when battery technology improves and electric planes become the norm.

You just gotta look at the plane and shapes that it’s made of, and you’ve gotta copy them. The more you can be bothered to do and the more precise you can be bothered to do the better I guess lol. And with fictional planes, you just gotta look at the shapes and techniques on real aircraft and reflect them in your own design.
The issue is though that it only works the first time you do it and if you press restart they start firing at you again :( (You could just move your location into the base again but that’ annoying)

With my fuel, I’ve stopped adding only a realistic amount of fuel to my planes and instead added an amount of fuel that the plane has realistic range. Fuel burn is a real issue in SP, where if you have a 80HP motor that only burns like 5 Gallup’s an hour in real life, it still burns 100 gallons an hour in game. It’s simply monumentally stupid.
How to get realistic fuel burn (particularly with props):
Put a realistic amount of fuel in your plane and make the parts 1x mass
Time how long it takes for a certain percentage of fuel to go down
Calculate fuel burn of engines and stuff on your plane, and then research what the fuel burn is on the real plane
Add extra 0 mass fuel accordingly
IRL, the FreedomFox’s fuel burn at full throttle is about 12 gollum’s an hour (as shown in this video), where in SP, it about 110 gallons an hour. Now tell me that’s not that realistic...
