@Seabo14 do you have python installed?
if not, run it while it's on the TS Gateway.
but first, edit the text file to add all the names and countries of people in this format:
name,country
anothernanme,another country
WNP78,NATO
etc
then, save it and double click on the file called ww3.py
copy all the text in the window and paste it into the forum post.
@Seabo14 The gunsight works, but the problem is that the infernos fall down, and that makes it inaccurate. I cannot compensate for this because it changes over distance to target. Any ideas?
@Seabo14 @pike101 I think we would all be a bit happier if @pike101 would stop faking a dialect in order to cause discord in this community. Intelligent analysis of your previous comments show a mature British dialect probably coming from the south west of England. Please stop disturbing our lovely community.
@pike101 my version isn't better now because I haven't made it yet. Use the future tense next time. Also, there is no way to make my own 'version' of this aircraft as it doesn't exist in real life.
I like the concept of the rotating canard, and the sights with the camera, but I think the doubled up wing kind of defeats the point of putting on emblems and stuff to make it look 'real'
Turn it around using the rotate buttons. If you don't know where they are do the tutorials. Then access it's settings and turn reverse Rotation on so that it doesn't make you go backwards.
A side comment on that, the gimbal block would be more useful as you could use it to make a gun turret. It would just have to be a 2D version of the 1D Rotator i.e it would have 2 control inputs that you could assign to pitch AND roll etc. Only thing is, when creating a mod, you can't see how the other blocks work and learn from that which is how I normally learn to code when I am not sure how to code something that I would like to code. Anyway, I'll leave technical details out for now and do my best.
Cool. I got steam just so I could get this as I used to only have it on android. I then discovered a host other games I like on steam and now I don't play on anything else. :) Great stuff though, I think next on the list is multiplayer and helicopter rotors that can change angle or 'gimbal'. Or at least a gimbal block. If not, I will probably spend about 76 hours on unity with a 5% chance of making a working gimbal mod. Very well done on the update though, devs.
@simpleplanesmaster @aeroengineering scroll down until you find a mods section. tap on it and press enable. if you can't see a mod's section on the SP home screen, then it's not working.
Also, where did you learn to make unity mods for simpleplanes? I am interested to know.
I just looked at a newly downloaded XML that had not been loaded into SP yet, and found the problem. You've added fuel tanks by the prop, and set the amount of fuel to -3000 as to keep the weight down. I must have somehow triggered SP to realise what was going on.
After refreshing my copy of this plane, it works. However, I think there should be a better way to reduce weight than that.
Can't get it to VTOL takeoff on Android. Tried putting VTOL stick up to full, as you seem to have mapped propeller pitch to there, but no takeoff. Running on Android.
this is what it would look like, although it might be missing a few people:

@Seabo14 I've finished the python script you wanted me to make, check your workplace mail via TS gateway to access it.
In the meantime see here:
My forum post
and here:
USAF/NATO General Atomics MQ-9 C 'Avenger' V.2
@Seabo14 can you link to my forum page instead
@bskngshrk check out the latest version here
Drone with sights is uploaded:

I s'pose I should get on with that new plane I was building... If you would call it a plane...
I'm trying to make a gunsight for my drone, but it's very hard. I am trying to model it on this airplane.
Maybe we should add an official forum page, that way we can have links at the top.
@Seabo14 I added the roundels to my drone
My forum post
@Seabo, @PikeovlevPlanes, just to let you know:
My forum post
@Seabo14 I'll just post it
@Seabo14 Are the emblems ready, or shall I upload anyway?
Perhaps we could have official 'emblems' (NK, USAF, Russia), that are on all submitted aircraft?
@pike101 BTW: links don't work in aircraft descriptions
I'm working on a General Atomics MQ-9 C 'Avenger' for the USAF side as I am a drone specialist.
Drone strikes incoming. Russia's naval fleet won't know what hit 'em.
I would upvote, but it has 42 and I can't destroy that.
I have Android and PC SimplePlanes, and know a tiny bit about moddding.
Where's the original?
This turns simpleplanes into a fun boating game.

@SimpleNerd I think you'll find he's a moderator
I think it goes against the concept of the game, it would be too easy.

My inner XML modder is screaming to me. Will there be a setting in the aircraft file? I just can't stop thinking about nuking bridges.
When!!! When!!! Whennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!
?
Just can't think what awesome feature the devs might choose to add next.
Can't wait for the android release...

Oh it works, maybe it just doesn't work on aircraft descriptions.
the link isn't working on my description for a plane I made. I'm going to put a link to it now to test if it works on forums: here.
