@SuperSuperTheSylph Np
and if that doesn't work, here are some alternatives:
-Attach a gun with low speed and high bullet spread to a gyroscope-stabilized fuselage piece. Make sure all pieces have partCollisionResponse set to None. This gun will act as the "flamethrower."
-Same thing but with flares
-A bunch of small bombs replicating a flame effect
-Drop a ton of fuel tanks on the enemy
@realbacon0765 PEA aircraft are essentially AI aircraft, but with a much higher emphasis on saving parts while not sacrificing performance.
All PEAs are also replicas of something, a requirement not seen in AI aircraft. I believe it's OK to replicate fictional aircraft though (e.g. Rostock Sanka, ADFX-01, ADF-11, F-19, MiG-37, etc.)
@SuperSuperTheSylph
1. You need to know how to make custom bombs (same way as custom missiles, attach a fuselage piece with 0 mass/drag to a detacher, put a bomb on the same detacher, then put that detacher on a pylon or another detacher). There's a tutorial on YT I think. Make sure the fuselage pieces are filled to brim with fuel.
2. Set the bomb explosion to one of your liking, preferably nothing too massive (I'd keep it at or below 2).
3. Here's the tricky part: balancing the HP of the fuselage pieces (mentioned in step 1) as to make it low enough to be damaged, but high enough not to get erased upon impact. If you can achieve this, you've got a decent firebomb in SP.
4. Put fuel tanks using the same health + no mass/drag principle onto the fuselage pieces for more effect.
It's not super consistent, but if you work hard and play it right, it can work. Also, another thing that may help is making the fuselage pieces and fuel tanks have partCollisionResponse set to None to ensure that they are damaged by the bomb instead of the impact, otherwise the fire effects may not happen. Just make sure that if you try this, put the bomb close to the front to ensure it will still detonate.
@SILVERPANZER Frankly, I think all of the prior wars were more brutal than M-War II. MWII had some kind of diplomacy, law, rules, etc., most of the others were just raw unfiltered chaos. Obviously, that's the route I'm choosing for The Scourge War. Nothing held back.
@JSTQ No, but actually yes:
The SCOURGE, while an entity, also appears to be some kind of location, a mobile island. This is the source and likely base of all of its aircraft.
However, while the SCOURGE jets don't inherently need to land at airports, the SCOURGE itself needs to conquer them. We know not why, only that they need to. My best guess is world domination, but the SCOURGE's true ambitions have yet to be revealed...
@SILVERPANZER Intriguing...
...however, that leaves TNP in an unfortunate situation; in his last battle, he was not destroyed, but critically weakened and captured. How do you think he'll handle this? Will he still get stronger? Can he break out?
The upcoming Scourge Wars might actually give TNP a chance to reemerge, given that the NMR will probably be too distracted with them to keep TNP in check (Takusha and Michael especially, they've been the primary frontline fighters of the NMR)
@SILVERPANZER So essentially, the tanks are on an entirely new plane of existence, and the TNP is just one of the weaker ones?
That might make sense actually, explains why he had to come to this dimension to dominate, only falling by the joint forces of powerhouses like Churchill and Takusha.
