Do You Think SimplePlanes 2 Should Include The Islands From The First Game?

What I mean is, should they be ported (exactly as they are in SimplePlanes) as an easter egg/side area that can be discovered some distance away from the main islands?

Personally I think they should be for several reasons:

1: They already exist. It'd be additional content for next to no extra development cost, unless there's some compatibility issue blocking that for some reason. Take the islands, stick them someplace far aware, boom. More places to fly.

2: It'd give a sense of familiarity to SimplePlanes 2. We've spent years jumping around the Garrison Isles (as I call them), so being able to keep doing that will provide connection which I personally believe SimplePlanes 2 kind of lacks, especially in the scale department; knowing how big SimplePlanes 2 is vs. SimplePlanes would be very grounding, I feel.

3: For new players it'd help reinforce the importance of SimplePlanes's history by letting them experience it themselves (sort of). I find it vitally important for SimplePlanes's existing culture to not be overwritten by a potential influx of new players, and preserving more older assets would be a great way to remind people of that history.

4: Assuming that the entire SimplePlanes 2 map is visible from high altitude in the demo, it looks kinda... small. And short. Unless I'm wrong about this, which I hope I am, the increased land area and verticality from the rather, er, extreme older terrain would provide some much-needed variety.

I don't know if any of you feel the same way, but I think it'd be a huge missed opportunity to not include the old islands as a distant, but still present, part of SimplePlanes 2.

How do you feel about this?

I would like to see it, or if they had plan to either increase the size of it, it would be so cool. Especially if they added some foliages like forest, streets, and even add some civilization such as villages and more cities so that it just not only the upcoming Vetusta City, there would be like for example Wrightville City, Yeager Coast Town, etc...

@V For the demo only though right? Because that massive dirt Simpleplanes 2 logo is definitely a placeholder

@V I see. Good to know there’s more to all.
Still want SP1 islands, though. No downside to having both.
    Metaphorical fingers crossed.

@Graingy edited said comment. All structures not in the red fenced in area have been removed from existence though

@V That’s odd. Perhaps those files are load bearing, things would break without them?
You mean things were deleted outside the island, or everywhere?

@Boeing727200F the devs deleted all structures that aren't those things, I checked.
(You can even tell that there's supposed to be a city of some kind on the adjacent Island by the weirdly flat and glitchy terrain patch)

You didn't hear this from me, but they do appear to somewhat still be in the game files, I just haven't found a way to enable them if it's at all functional.

And for point #4, there are more islands, but are prevented from rendering. Will not give any more details out of respect to the devs.

would be nice to have them at least for continuity's sake

Another thing I would like to add here is adding a reason something exists in SP2. Like for example driftwood island. From what I got, the airport and ring road serve no purpose other than looking cool. there is no city no town no port nothing for a reason an airport exists in the middle of nowhere on a random ass island. Another thing from getting images of the entire map for extremely high altitudes I see nothing else on the island besides a small ass town and what was shown by the devs. There is basically nothing else on the mainland visible in the demo.
