If someone want to feedback what this is actually like with the amphibious landing of vehicles I’d be much obliged! My iPad just kept crashing adding vehicles.
I’ve no doubt you positioned them correctly, I think the hinges needs to be inverted/not inverted as they don’t move to cover the void space the landing gear retracts into. @Araknis
Awesome job with the livery and build in general. How do you get a clean two tone line all the way around the fuselage like that? God I’ve tried but I always end up with the colours glitching through.
V good, aesthetically pleasing. Have you modelled the performance on the real aircraft? I feel it’s a little too good for the generation of fighter but have not seen videos of flights sims etc to comment for sure.
The monkey puzzle trees are well beyond me. I sat my gcse maths (that’s right Americans it’s got an ‘s’:) got a ‘b’ and never looked at it since barring simple DIY applications I thats really handy! Cheers for sharing that! @RamboJutter
You wouldn’t be treading on my toes, if by some random chance I was working on an argosy I’d still tell you to crack on and look forward to seeing it! @theeunknown
Steam engine with working pistons gets my support all day long! The scale of ambition to get a 4-14-4 to work with functioning pistons is impressive! I just hope this gets the votes it deserves.
Only got round to actually flying this. This is in no way bitchy but merely what I found. Pitch range is way to strong and is unrealistic for the aircraft type. This thing turns on a thimble. I like trim for ease of flying but you need to make sure it’s not stupidly overpowering - this will perform the same tight loops on trim inputs alone as it will with pitch. I know it’s your take on the SE5a but a semblance of performance should be apparent. On the whole it’s a pleasing looking build but time should be spent on researching the performance/handling of the aircraft/comparative aircraft. Hope this helps.
That’s quite a story. I think you will build again, you’ll get a summer break etc, and you’ll see something that will grab your attention and you’ll think “that would look good on SP” and before you know it there will be a “I’m back” post and will all sigh and think - you never left. No one leaves SP for good! :)
All the best!
Well you didn’t choose the lattice mast version so I’m going to have to take back my support.....
I joke. Beautiful build, magnificent specimen. Everything’s bigger and better in Texas!
Oh there’s tons wrong with this build. This was before the xml mod was added for mobile users and I’d definitely do things differently nowadays, The Vulcans a tough wing profile to follow and (being on peasant iOS ipadair) was done by eyeballing. Thanks for you interest though! @m16a2wm203
Looks awesome! What were the red patches on the turret roofs for?
+1Looks like a predreadnought bravo!
+1Cheers @SilverStar kind of you to say!
Thanks mate! @ACEPILOT109

Thanks guys! @Elicushman @IrFritzruss @theeunknown
+2Thank you very much @ACEPILOT109 most kind of you to spotlight!
Actually building a Flybe dash 8 myself. Should get round to finishing it but it keeps crashing on my iPad.
Spiffing kite old boy! Do I detect a spitfire nose at the rear?! Lovely stuff and I can play with it! :) :)
Very cool, I like that gun!
Of course you can no need to credit me! @switdog08
Great build as always! Must say I approve of the background tantalising glimpse of the Concorde!
Cracking job! I prefer not to fiddle with cockpits so I approve this!
+1I’ve no doubt you positioned them correctly, I think the hinges needs to be inverted/not inverted as they don’t move to cover the void space the landing gear retracts into. @Araknis
+1Pretty good, gear doors close the wrong way though, other than that its a great low part build!
+1Cockpit art looks awesome!

No worries! Great build - I keep meaning to make another train but never get the time! @MrTyTheGreat
This is a beauty and a great little dog fighter! Should they have a wing insignia or did some variants do without? Great build!
Shouldn’t have got into a shooting match with the Bismarck. Great build!
+23 words. Super Smash Brothers. Loved the N64 and that game was the business as a kid!

James Bond. @Hedero
Excellent, I can recreate the opening scene from tomorrow never dies!
Why are people changing their names I don’t know who you are anymore! Lovely looking build by the way, pretty damn epic.
+1You wouldn’t be treading on my toes, if by some random chance I was working on an argosy I’d still tell you to crack on and look forward to seeing it! @theeunknown
+1beautiful build!
+1case and point i spelled it wrong just there as well! @theeunknown
+1@theeunknown were you not tylerdevenuexmusic? This name changing thing was a bad idea, ive no idea who people are now :)
+1@theeunknown oh yes, hard to view this as a 50s bomber!
+1No bother, neat build. Stall point really low and it turns a little too tight but I like your build! @WarHawk95

Awesome, reminds me of the Bv206.
Good job with the pistons!
Some discrepancies in that dept for sure! @JustDatGuy
Unique build, good for you! I’ve tried pistons before and understand why you didn’t, it’s a bloody headache! @MASTERMEMES
+1Yay pre dreadnought! Waterline version?
+1Forgot to spotlight, where are my manners!!
Like the Clancy-type narration once more.
Thanks mate! There’s not many on this site I’ll give you that! @LuftwaffeAce262
+1A brilliant build to break into gold, bravo!
Never got pole position (forgive the pun) on a challenge before, thank you very much!

Cheers! @Notnoob1000
This is magnificent! I’d use a lighter shade of grey as it’s hard to make out detail, great looking build though!
+1Saves you money on your plane insurance....
Sorry, I couldn’t help myself. I’ll stand myself in the naughty corner.
+1I love these, I may be wrong but, in the UK you can fly these on a microlight licence!
