@Graingy the [redacted] bits were for suspense when the port section was posted separately on Discord before the Bannock was shown, forgot to remove them for the full blog post
@Graingy A few months ago, Unity discovered a security vulnerability affecting pretty much all versions of Unity and therefore the games that run on them. Nobody exploited that vulnerability, but it could in theory allow some dangerous exploits to be performed as essentially malware, so a quick security patch was made to the engine for developers to update their games to.
I find the lock times all being the same more annoying. Some missiles are supposed to have long lock times as part of their balancing. Kinda weird to remove that.
What do you mean? The missiles in the stock crafts should all have varying lock times based on type and the target's signature strength. Are you using an SP1 craft? Those would be using the SP1 missiles rather than the SP2 missiles.
@Lemoncat If it's a gaming laptop it likely has a dedicated GPU, so most likely. If it isn't a gaming laptop it's probably using your CPU's integrated graphics, which is unlikely to yield good results.
@Default4 I do various things. Most notably I write the SP2 dev blog posts that have been going up for the past few months, but I'm also the head moderator and I contribute to behind the scenes marketing stuff.
@Graingy I don't mean to stress you out, I suggested compiling them because you seemed worried about spam and that would be a solution to that, but your explanation for not doing so makes sense. Personally I love that people deem this community to be worthy of their art/creative projects, so I don't want to hinder that too much.
@Graingy @KorKaiorWhatever Curation is mostly done by me these days, although I don't do it as often as I really should be and I'd like to get some help at some point. Most crafts with the VR tag I don't end up curating, because of some shortcoming or another that doesn't meet my standards.
Your post has been removed, please read our rules. Post thumbnails should clearly depict the craft as it appears in-game, not a render, drawing, or heavily stylized edit. Please feel free to reupload the craft with a different thumbnail.
@Bakayarou023 @SuperSuperTheSylph you're right about the reference on the aircraft carrier (BF3), but not the other reference. The first image is a recreation of a shot from a certain movie about dragons, hence the inclusion of the J-20 "Mighty Dragon" :)
@SleepyKitty
1. no plans for a new website, simpleplanes.com will be for all of SimplePlanes
2. yup, we have a YouTube playlist showing off a bunch of SP1 crafts being used in SP2. All you have to do is load an SP1 craft file and it should work the same way it always did.

Please try to make major changes to a plane before posting it. Simply painting an object a different color, or adding a few guns is not enough to consider it your own. In the future please credit the original maker, and try to post your own work.

.
When uploading a craft that is based on another player's craft, please try to make more significant changes than just changing the colour of the paint.

+1@LM0418 pretty much any game with 3D graphics will "support" ReShade whether the developers want it or not

+1@Graingy I am in fact still silver. Blog posts don't give any points.

+1@Graingy no it's an SSD
+1@Graingy Please be nice.

+1@Axartar It's not mentioned in this post, but custom textures are also a thing, with the same limitations as the custom decals.
+1@danigog33 In SPVR if you look at the back end of your flight instructions clipboard you should see a map of the islands
