Not sure what you mean by the action groups being in a certain style, but to add images to the description, use this syntax:

@CenturiVonKikie Well, a Mirage + MiG-21 derivative to be exact, but yes. In the future, some aviation enthusiasts have nothing better to do than recreate classic designs with modern technology.

@Nzlcafa That's true. Unfortunately, there are way more stupid people than intelligent ones, and so there's much more money to be made by pandering to the dumb masses. As a result, we live in a society that panders endlessly to dumb people ("Mash F to win"), which gives them an undeserved self-confidence and a dangerous complacency. Dumb people these days are so arrogant, they feel free to attack those smarter than them, just for existing.

"The majority of the stupid is invincible and guaranteed for all time."

@Texasfam04 Thanks. I wish the devs would provide more ways to make cool exhausts and nozzles, instead of the few pre-set options we have at the moment. It would be great to have a 'jet nozzle' part with configurable start radius, end radius, and number of feathers. I wish they'd gone in that direction with SR2 as well.

@Stingray Well, you can't be too careful with data. You should only be embarrassed if one of those backups isn't off-site. I just lost a hard drive (the fifth one that's died on me), and without backups I'd have lost a great deal of my life's work.

  • XB-70 Valkyrie mobile friendly 6.5 years ago

@Strikefighter04 Oh, part count wasn't the primary reason I removed the gear -- the main gear are only 25 parts each. I removed them because they have rotators, which make heavy builds wobbly in flight. Also, if you tested the original, you might have noticed that the gear clips through the body during hard turns. That kind of thing really annoys me.

  • XB-70 Valkyrie mobile friendly 6.5 years ago

Thanks, @Strikefighter04. Well, I already made the original with the cool three-axis landing gear. This one is purely for performance. I wanted to keep it under 400 parts as some people complained they couldn't run the original.

@Mustang51 Da, comrade. This airplane shoots communist bullets in front, expels communist exhaust in back. Is true marvel of peasant engineering, even though actual engineering was done by despised intelligentsia in gulags, only because peasants too busy with honest labour.

@CCCP Americans are cheeky, comrade, overflying our airspace and taking photographs of our beautiful Russian women. Also you are cheeky, for not upvoting superior technology. Is disrespectful.

@ChallengerHellcat I didn't say it was a prank, I said I suspect it's a prank. And you haven't proved anything apart from the fact that a build of mine that may or may not have been modified appears to very gently roll to the right when afterburner is engaged. I have tested for auto-roll over and over again, with multiple builds, under all possible conditions, and it just -- does -- not -- happen for me.

The other thing that makes me doubt you is that when I asked you whether you had noticed auto-roll on any other builds of mine, you immediately came back with "yes, auto-roll occurs on all [your] builds." Unless you somehow managed to test all 400+ of my builds in the minute or two it took you to answer, you couldn't possibly have been telling the truth.

Cool shape, flies very well. One thing you could do is to set Trim to ON on the pitch control surfaces, to let users correct the nose-down tendency in flight.

@MasterShi Because this is one of the few planes with landing gear interesting enough to build. I believe this is the only XB-70 replica on SP that has the three-axis rotation for the main gear.

Because you made it an assault shaker and not a semi-auto, you are now being monitored by the bureau of alcohol, tobacco, and salt. Also, roll is inverted.

@F104Deathtrap @RailfanEthan What's with the prejudice against machines? When you cut us, do we not bleed hydraulic fluid? And when we have to deal with retards, do we not get frustrated just as you do?

  • Vector 6.6 years ago

    @randomusername

Or do you think that I have lied and I am always wrong?

I've never called you a liar. As for wrong, my builds are well-known for being exceptionally stable -- they will go where you point them, and keep going in that direction until you provide further input or they hit something. So you can understand if I'm skeptical when you say it has auto-roll.

Here are two older videos, the current one is still uploading:

The Brute being aimed at a ship, then switching to orbit view, and hitting the ship with gunfire.

The Atlantis II gaining a total of 2 feet after crossing the Beast fleet and before hitting Krakabloa.

  • F35 Crash 6.6 years ago

If it's the first crash in all this time, that's actually a pretty good record. It's good to remember that there probably has never been a large, complex, cutting-edge technology project that didn't have some failures. 12 SR-71s were lost to accidents. The F-22 has had 4 losses, plus one YF-22.

@F104Deathtrap Yeah, I know. I chose Cleavers because 1) all there is to do in the sandbox is kill ships and the ice base; 2) Interceptors are much less visually appealing than Cleavers; and 3) if someone wants to replace them with another missile, that's very easily done.

  • Canundrum 6.7 years ago

As long as you're building what other people want you to build, you'll run out of creativity and motivation sooner or later. What do you want to build? Everyone has things they obsess over -- maybe it's a spaceship from a movie or game, maybe it's an aircraft you really like. Maybe you want to recreate it exactly, or maybe you think you can improve on it. Build that. If nothing else, start putting parts together in whatever shape appeals to you. You might come up with a lot of crap, but you might come up with something really cool. Just keep building, and try to get better with each build. Get out of your comfort zone. If you mostly build light aircraft, build something heavy. If you mostly build biplanes, build a modern fighter. Just build something, and don't worry about what people expect.

  • M.Corp SA-1 Tarantula A SAM 6.7 years ago

@EternalDarkness OK, I figured it out. Apparently, if you spawn the target at "Wright final approach," the game doesn't consider it a hostile target. Spawned it at "default" and the missiles worked perfectly.

  • M.Corp SA-1 Tarantula A SAM 6.7 years ago

@EternalDarkness I tried that, but it doesn't do anything. 1 to activate, aim it in the direction I want, spawn a slow flying target drone, select air-to-air. Target reticle stays blue and pressing FireWeapons does nothing...
