@Leviatham I had to xml edit them not to auto destruct and increase the fuel, then you get a detached and attach the upright bit to your plane with the rocket on the bottom and voila it works.
I was all for this but then I looked closer, those control surfaces and leading edges... I don't know if anyone has suggested it to you but you can use air intakes to form sharp trailing edges while using inlet angle to give it a nice angle, saves having ugly looking parts that don't match the rest of the build. Just some friendly advice, if u want me to show you or discuss anything just let me know :)
@DrunkenRaider you have drag problems, see here for a partial fix. The leading edges / slats where causing most of the roll. But your plane is built with drag enabled on everything, i was given some advice a while ago to disable drag and mass on everything (not mass on parts attached to rotators) and then add it to controllable parts once finished. It will take too much time to alter everything on your build but the bits ive altered make it less of a problem.
this plane i made is the best one ive found so far for yaw, the problem is the normal rudders either stall due to too much movement or are too high up and thus roll the plane as well.
@HistoricBirds try it, its easy to land on it with the planes i have supplied. plus an egg version means i dont have a 750ft boat to build where the designer camera keeps catching on all the limits.
@ChiChiWerx I'm glad someone else thinks this, I keep getting comments about trim not being set right yet have provided a trim option (for elevator). I'm no expert but I'm assuming trim will change depending on speed, fuel and general loading?
With all these comments I'm starting to wish I'd spent some time on it... it's just my blohm n voss extended and adapted with canards for pitch and roll, is posted a canard the day before this contest was announced as well.
@AWESOMENESS360 I do try ;) mby I should have posted in the build colours of pink and orange with a baby blue underside, you could have counted the parts then :p
@Tang0five nah it looks good, is it nicknamed Rudolph by any chance ;) I can make you a gun with collisions turned of if u want (It won't hit anything then)
@Phantom051 there's nothing much I can do to make it anymore mobile friendly barring deleting the Windows (I didn't even build custom wings or undercarriage on this one just to keep parts down)
@Type2volkswagen ive not seen that, i had two vhs tapes as a kid in the 80s, one was joe crusher the movie and the other was robotech, hence the inspiration =)
@Irobert55 Lol, first line of description, "Based very loosely on the Aerodyne II design form Cutangus on Deviantart" what he based it on I have no idea :)
@Tang0five it's wasn't planned but mby now you have planted the idea... my next one is sort of typhoony (newer rather than ww2) another rocket powered job, I'll send you it when it's flyable.
@FranticMatty lol I've just watched your vid of this, the first instruction "Ag1 raises the launch platform, then activate ground attack rockets and hold the fire button until you are confident they have all fired," you sort of figured it in the end though but you where flying with a booster that had ran out of fuel :)
@iiLikeAirplanez nah, I just enjoy building things myself. Thanks though
@iiLikeAirplanez no worries, enjoy, I've used the ducted fan concept quite a bit.
Or this one
Here is one I made earlier...
@Spitfirelad05 thanks :)

@Sgtk :) glad someone figured that out.
@DrunkenRaider erm click the "see here" bit on the message below.

@kbarnett2008 here
@tylerdeveneuxmusic @SelectAKey thanks, what next I wonder???

@AdlerSteiner yeah i wanted to get it supersonic on rockets alone but they are so limiting.... i keep forgetting its "simple" planes.
@Toxicareonuatics wheels like any other plane, they are just retracted to start with.
@HistoricBirds try it, its easy to land on it with the planes i have supplied. plus an egg version means i dont have a 750ft boat to build where the designer camera keeps catching on all the limits.
@Megaplanesinc thank you. I have one more in the works.
@Megaplanesinc it's closer to a tornado, thanks for the comments though.

I think it looks good but I can't make much out in those screenshots.
@Irobert55 look at what i posted yesterday before i saw your challenge....
With all these comments I'm starting to wish I'd spent some time on it... it's just my blohm n voss extended and adapted with canards for pitch and roll, is posted a canard the day before this contest was announced as well.
@PlanesOfOld I live there, so yes :)
@BlackhattAircraft no worries, surprised there hasn't been any more upvotes.
@RailfanEthan thanks. See it the list helps =)
Change the size of the ends, thus making shapes.
@GhostHTX this might help here
@Chancey21 Yeah, I enjoy building so I've built loads...
@DemonSniper8 yeah but that's where my 8 top voted builds are, those are the things that I strive to beat :)
@SuperSix ive built twice the number in this list... =)
@AWESOMENESS360 I do try ;) mby I should have posted in the build colours of pink and orange with a baby blue underside, you could have counted the parts then :p
A couple more photos wouldn't go a miss, but it's not a bad looking build for a new user, keep up the good work
@ThunderStrike :)

@Spitfirelad05 grab the canopy off it first then where ever u want
@Type2volkswagen i think your mashup has gone.... ;( i didnt see the last comment.
@Treadmill103 @EternalDarkness thanks guys, I really enjoyed this build and flying it is a hoot!
@Type2volkswagen ive not seen that, i had two vhs tapes as a kid in the 80s, one was joe crusher the movie and the other was robotech, hence the inspiration =)
@Mumpsy thanks, glad you like It, wait until you see my next build ;)

@BaconRoll im sure you could come up with a cunning plan, what about this and this webby has loads of inspiration.
@AdlerSteiner ive added a couple of photos of it flying with different ordinance, henschels and fritz x (both made by me and posted previously).
@AdlerSteiner thanks, i did fit my fritz x bombs but the part count was massive and the load time outweighed the advantage.
It looks great till you get to the back end, what happened with the tail and fin?
@Spitfirelad05 lol, hence the martin baker panic buttons =)
I'd have gone with goblin, I know there not dead n all but they are green :)
The builds nice but that background hurts my head...
