Adlersteiner ger chal entry2 Halfte Weltschmerz

Auto Credit Based on AdlerSteiner's LuftWaffe Challenge - Reborn

This is my second entry for the competition.

During the design and construction of the Weltschmerz it became apparent that the design had potential for the alteration to produce a single seat fighter/bomber incorporating the turbo-jet ducted fan concept, hence the Halfte Weltschmerz was created.

This design proved very successful, it was manoverable, fast and capable of carrying an array of ordinance, in this instance 2 wing mounted cannon pods from a JU-87 Stuka and 2 250lb bombs in addition to its standard armament of 4mgs and 1 nose mounted cannon.

Ag1 for the landing light, Landing gear to retract the gear.

Awesome little flyer, needs some trim depending on speeds as the engines have some downthrust (no idea why as they are centrally mounted...)

This is basically a ducted propfan engine with a cockpit. I like it.

@Type2volkswagen yeah i spent ages making sure drag was even and low(ish) i played with adding upthrust to the engines but the angles where getting silly, i could have angled the whole duct but again it looked daft,i can counter at one speed with elevator tweaks but then when its gliding it has too much pitch up, i thought about adding a small jet to push down gently on the back activated by throttle but again it was more trouble than it was worth.

Great Flyer! I checked the Drag thinking that might be your problem but it is even and I suspect you spent quite some time on that. I get Pitch up/down from thrust equally and wonder if it has something to do with the sim?
