@FairFireFight But autolanding gear allows for sequencing of gear and doors so there is no clash, it also allows the linking of airbrakes and the like to different speeds.
@jamesPLANESii you kiwis just couldnt have a normal roundel could you, you had to have a flipping bird in the middle, honestly im going to petition the RAF to substitute the red bit on their roundel for a characature of the queens head.... PS the last photo shows its progress. Still need to make the blue part of the roundel bend around the wing.
@BlackhattAircraft easy, I have a list of unfinished builds that I dip into, most only have a couple of hours work left on them so at present I'm reducing the list a bit :) I built most of the unfinished stuff when I was off work for a bit.
@ChiChiWerx well your marines got harriers and the usaf got Canberras so I thought your navy was feeling left out :) mainly I wanted to build a skull for the tail and that lead me to the usn.
@harits I wouldn't have thought so, it's not much different to the f106 dart, the engines don't solely rely on forced air input they have a suction effect (hence fod being a bother), so even if the leading edge of the wing had a negative pressure build up sue to manoevering the engine will still be sucking air from above and to the side. If anything the engine intakes reduce fod problems as they are higher up and partially protected. Have a look also at the avro 707 which had a top mounted intake.
@FairFireFight lol I'm British and in the 50s and 60s the British aircraft industry came up with so many whacky concepts I find it hard to have my builds as anything but British, tag or fleet air arm.
@ChiChiWerx funny the paint was inspired by a gee bee... I had to keep the complexity down due to part count obviously but I think that scheme on a gee bee would be awesome.
@Leviatham you need to upload them to something like discord, right click on the image and copy the link, then put
@Krikkit42 it sounds like you have attached more than just the pylon, try deleting it at retry. I use overload and wnps designer tools so I can detach the pylon easily from the mount and nudge 1 part up and attach that to save the game randomly attaching parts of missiles to other bits of the plane
@PositivePlanes Have you tried accurate lettering/numbering? it has numbers on the cowling, undercarriage doors and on the wings, and lettering on the fin and wings, bendy stars and bars etc. that probably half of the parts on the plane/duck =)
@Destroyerz117 aw man, wait untill you see what i have next, its epic. I so want to post it, but this hasnt been on for an hour yet so ill wait till tomorrow i think.
@jamesPLANESii I'm still catching you James, no amount of fancy signage will deny the inevitable lol :) ps at present I'm doing it with ducks, imagine, you are being caught by an influx of quacks.
@ainanen yeah each circle in the roundel will have a ratio compared to the other, so a roundel like the HAF use has a 3:2:1 ratio so the largest is 3x the smallest. Different eras used different ratios. That website explains the RAF ones.
@ainanen have a look here for raf roundels for example, I cringe when I look at my early builds where I didn't even get that right, I look forward to your next build. If you need any advice or assnce with something feel free to tag me on an unlisted build.
RESULTS:

+1@Mmdben that's what I thought :)
@jamesPLANESii well I've done it in the colour scheme of your country :) the link to the build is below the pics.
@Mmdben I had to attach them to something that wasn't going to get altered :)
@Mmdben they retract the black panels that give the effect of wheel bays.
@WarHawk95 yep. Seemed appropriate really.
+1@Mmdben Thanks =) thanks for looking at my older builds as well, its a shame that they are just gathering dust.
@DuckMint thanks for counting for me, saves taxing my brain cells any further.

+1@Megaplanesinc most real aircraft don't take kindly to being shot, hard to see that as a relevant critique really.
+2@ChiChiWerx maritime air to air refuelling and / or naval reconnaissance (similar sort of variation that a p3 has.)
just make them yourself, or copy some mechanisms other people use (or get a device not on ios...) =)
@ChiChiWerx not quite Westland Wyvern, always wanted to build one of those =)
@jamesPLANESii yep :) onwards and upwards. I might do an an2 to celebrate lol
+1@Trainzo @ThomasRoderick @FairFireFight thanks for the comments and upvotes.
@ShermanFirefly thanks, vtol without the use of nozzles or gyros :) I nearly didn't bother though as the whole vtol bit took ages to make work.

@FairFireFight It says royal navy on it....
@belugasub here's a forum post I made explaining how to do camo
@ChiChiWerx funny the paint was inspired by a gee bee... I had to keep the complexity down due to part count obviously but I think that scheme on a gee bee would be awesome.

@BlackhattAircraft thanks :) dllama and ChiChiWerx have given me an idea for how to synchronise undercarriage so I'll have a play with that next.
@Itamar3553 thanks :)
@ChiChiWerx no worries, it turned out well in the end I think.
@Minecraftpoweer @Roswell thanks for the comments, glad you liked it.
@MethaManAircraft yep, the British f101 :)
@Leviatham use the colour mod, then adjust the s and m factors
+1Just download one of my latest builds and Nick the leading edge parts.
+1@QuickNils I do try :) when I have the inspiration it's hard to not work on them, this one though I started a long time ago.
@watsonwarrior thanks :)
@Alien thanks :) glad you enjoyed it, look forward to seeing your build.

@BaconRoll my motherduckery is at an end, feel free to take over the mantle.
@SanitaterAirlines what do you mean? Duck looks where he wants to go, not much different to what people do.
@OC3LOT1142 the same way most builds gather parts, details. Have a look at the lettering, to get the right font takes lots of parts etc.
@belugasub no worries, im all quacked out now though (plus i'd better concentrate on serious stuff for a bit lol)
+1@LancasterAce im not doing any more ducks though =) I might do an arrow one of these days (i built one a long time ago).
@LancasterAce I've promised to only make 1 more duck and I've already built it for release later sorry.
@PositivePlanes Have you tried accurate lettering/numbering? it has numbers on the cowling, undercarriage doors and on the wings, and lettering on the fin and wings, bendy stars and bars etc. that probably half of the parts on the plane/duck =)

@belugasub is there a limit on number of entries from one person?
@jamesPLANESii I'm still catching you James, no amount of fancy signage will deny the inevitable lol :) ps at present I'm doing it with ducks, imagine, you are being caught by an influx of quacks.
+1@Hplanes it's just a normal plane with a different decorative shell.
@X4JB it's not a rudder it's his tail :)
