Possibly multiplayer? That does have the problem of lag, trolls, and the nametag.
Another option is to make two copies of the plane, as one file. Maybe have one plane with no drag, mass, or power, attached to the main plane.

  • Su-33 ILS test Yeager 01R 3.4 years ago

Very nice! I've been looking at several, and I will look into using this for my SWL-120. I have a question though, what is the angle for the glideslope, and how many degrees do the indicators support outside of the glideslope?

Trig. They have different functions. When you go through Year 9 you will learn it, and then you will learn about the more advanced stuff onwards.

  • Button/Switch Interaction Types 3.4 years ago

There is nothing wrong with what you did, but let me explain how the three work.

Once sets the variable to outputValue every time you click it, ignoring the time you hold it down.

Toggle works as expected, allowing you toggle the variable between outputValue and 0.

Continuous sets the variable to outputValue every time you click it, and will continue to write to it as long as you hold it down. What you forgot is if you set it to 1 using a switch set to Continuous, you need a method of setting it to 0 (The same rule applies to Once). As you do not, it stays at 1. Define a setter in the global variables panel called "Var1" and set it's expression to "0". Try using the switch. The expected behaviour occurs.

NOTE: Make sure you set the priority of the variable in the global setters to -1. Otherwise it will overwrite the switch and the variable will always be 0.

  • I need professional help here 3.4 years ago

@Soardivision160th If you just want a simple rotator spinning, I would use sum(smooth(Input, value)). Replace input with the input, and value with a number. Higher values result in faster changes and lower values result in slower changes.

  • I need professional help here 3.4 years ago

    What did you type down?

  • I need professional help here 3.4 years ago

@hpgbproductions Let's say you want an engine to idle when Activate1 is pressed, and then controlled by throttle.
The code for this would be smooth(clamp01(Activate1), 0.25) + smooth(clamp01( smooth(clamp01(Activate1), 0.25) = 1) * Throttle, 0.5). Of course that can be modified even further, but for more information go and watch the video.

  • Just Like A Flight Simulator - SWL-120 Progress Update 2 3.4 years ago

@IceCraftGaming Yes. (Mostly). It won't have the ultra advanced stuff, but most things you'd find in a flight sim (and more even) will be in this. By ultra advanced I mean things like a fully working keyboard where you can type letters. It will have a waypoint system with flight plans and an autopilot with many functions like flying to waypoints.

  • SimplePlanes as a Flight Sim 3.4 years ago

@DeveloperKorzalerke I was trying to make a point, how with enough FT anything is possible, and it just happened to be that my planes were a good example.

  • SimplePlanes as a Flight Sim 3.4 years ago

My SWL-10 has one of the best cockpits on the website, and the upcoming SWL-120 will be the most detailed and realistic plane ever.

  • SimplePlanes as a Flight Sim 3.4 years ago

@HuskyDynamics01 You can do ifr flight plans. Waypoints, checklists, nav aids, it's all possible.

  • Thank you!!! 3.4 years ago

    @DeveloperKorzalerke Too many forums, huh?
My profile is cluttered up with forums and videos relating to the SWL-120's development. It's kind of annoying, and not only do I delete some of these when I make a main progress update (every few months, combining a lot into one post), I actually made a post combining all my planes.

Nice plane! I could have done a better job with the cockpit (don't ask, It's pushing SP beyond its limits), but the other details are superb! The cockpit itself is also quite nice, it's an impressive level of detail.
