Previously I was more or less functionality over detail, but lately I've been trying to balance the two a bit more. That said though, functionality takes priority with detail coming when possible for me.
This is fantastic! I just figured out how to apply it to the engines I use for my submarines, now I can very easily limit their speeds down to the real thing!
@Skydeath Give it a moment, it's heavy so gravity will pull it down for a bit. Soon the neutral boyancy will slow it down and it'll just stop. You can also counteract this with some upward ballast (VTOL UP) and throttle to get it to stop sinking.
@LancasterAce Got some custom torpedoes in the works, an improvement on the design I used for my guided torpedoes. Hopefully the work I put into then will give me something I can use on all my subs.
For things you're building, if you have access to XML modding a good way to reduce lag is to set 'calculateDrag' to false and 'disableAircraftCollisions' to true on parts. Knowing this game's physics it's risky to remove drag on everything though, so do so mainly for little details you might add.
Not bad actually, it's a little rough in some areas, but this looks like the level of quality that with practice could lead to amazing pictures in the future!
@AlexIsDaBoss Don't ask for followers, in any place whether it's here or youtube asking for followers will never make you look good. That said, I can offer some advice for growth based on my own experiences.
1) For starters, don't ask for follows and upvotes, those things have to be earned by other people's choices.
__
2) Build and Upload: Think of cool things you would like to build. Most importantly, practice makes perfect. If you keep building, you will get better. Even within your limitations, you could still make some great things below 100 or even 50 parts.
__
3) Leave comments, join challenges if you can, and interact with people. It's an easy and natural way to be more visible.
__
4) Have a look at other people's builds, you can learn a lot from them. Be careful not to copy anyone, but simply downloading builds and looking through their working can teach you some things which can help you build better.
__
5) Finally, I suggest uploading on Friday nights. Peeps are most likely to be available on the weekend, and uploading then in my experience gives you the most amount of people online who might spot it while it's new.
I hope you heed my advice here, I was in a sort of stagnant position with little growth at some point. But eventually I got better, found my place, and am on my way to gold! So please, don't resort to asking for people to follow and upvote, get people to decide to on their own through your builds!
@AlexIsDaBoss Given how rough this thing is overall it could do with a remaster. I'd suggest downloading my Type 206 to see if that one works better. There's also my Seawolf though its size might make it risky for a mobile device.
@AlexIsDaBoss Well I have no idea because I downloaded it to check and it worked relatively fine, going forward with functioning pitch. Less polished than my later builds, but still fully working.
@Jerba Three planes if memory serves me right. And I could do the Ohio after the Vanguard, also already got the I-400 as a request, which I will start once I finish the type IX.
@Tang0five Hmmm, both are interesting ideas. The Vanguard would be a first for me as a nuclear boomer. Plus it would give me the chance to build a Trident! which would utilize my method for making Ballistic Missiles to its full, MIRV'ey potential. :3
@Nerfenthusiast Oh shoot, well good thing I'm no stranger to building a submarine aircraft carrier. Guess I shouldn't be too surprised I'd get this request! XD I'll do it, and it will launch three planes like the real thing!
I myself have made my descriptions in word before copy-pasting them onto the upload post. The fake-but-actually-real upvote button is quite the cool discovery! I was wondering how that was being done.
Dang man for a plane that uses panels/panel like fuselages for the hollow space that looks quite smooth! Definitely wanna check this thing out when it's uploaded. As for livery, I'll be a little random and suggest Azerbaijan Airlines also since I think that paint job looks nice.
@AlexIsDaBoss Well then all I can say is try to pitch down just a bit and let it pick up speed. I'll admit the way I build subs the pitch can struggle to make it dive on the surface which is why I'm glad my newer builds have a full ballast system.
@AlexIsDaBoss If not simply try waiting a moment while pitching down, not too much to where the engine pokes out of the water though. This thing isn't very fast, and might take a moment to push below the surface. If so, remove that mod and get the Underwater Camera Mod
@AlexIsDaBoss Throttle is normal, Pitch for Pitch, Roll to Steer (side to side like yaw) welcome to one of my old subs! From before I figured out how to simulate ballast control.
I love and relate to the last one in particular. Man can the game get pesky when you're trying to assemble something complex. Sometimes though, you'll realize the problem wasn't too complex and that you just got angry only to find an easy fix, and then you feel dumb. That's me sometimes at least XD.
@LancasterAce Though I have plans to focus on 50's subs, for a request I think I'll accept. Especially given I have an idea on how I'd do the deck guns. Plus! I would be able to equip it with torpedoes in a manner that allows it free diving without making the weapons poof.

Started around the middle actually
Seems the weather's rather interesting in your hometown/city.
@Gameboi14 Thanks man.

@LancasterAce I'll work on some custom torps, something you can actually freely dive with.
@LancasterAce Thank you, it seems you were very right when you said it would get a lotta upvotes! Glad peeps love it!
@Gameboi14
Thank you!
@LancasterAce In case you didn't spot this, coming tonight ;).
Not bad! It's rough but in a way that gives it a lotta character.

@TheXDimension32 Awesome! I'm jealous, I've only seen a video touring that thing!

@AlexIsDaBoss I'll add that to my list of requests, and get to that when I can. Hope that the newer subs will work better for you!

@Freerider2142 Oh boy! Can't wait to see how that goes.
@CptJacobson I'm getting all the iconic subs, sure why not!
@Nerfenthusiast Go ahead!
@Tang0five Hmmm, both are interesting ideas. The Vanguard would be a first for me as a nuclear boomer. Plus it would give me the chance to build a Trident! which would utilize my method for making Ballistic Missiles to its full, MIRV'ey potential. :3
@Nerfenthusiast Good idea! I'll keep that in mind, and credit you with the idea should it work.
@Nerfenthusiast Oh shoot, well good thing I'm no stranger to building a submarine aircraft carrier. Guess I shouldn't be too surprised I'd get this request! XD I'll do it, and it will launch three planes like the real thing!
@Tang0five Well the part itself can be downloaded here, and still resized, so perhaps it could still be a useful sub assembly ;)
I myself have made my descriptions in word before copy-pasting them onto the upload post. The fake-but-actually-real upvote button is quite the cool discovery! I was wondering how that was being done.
Well here it is! The big boi. Tempted to try picking up one of my submarines with this thing. It might at least pick up my Type 206.
6:45 Burn what you can't steal!

@AlexIsDaBoss Are you using Gestour's underwater mod?
@Armyguy1534 Neither do I, I'm a bit baffled wondering why.
@AlexIsDaBoss Throttle is normal, Pitch for Pitch, Roll to Steer (side to side like yaw) welcome to one of my old subs! From before I figured out how to simulate ballast control.
@Nerfenthusiast That worked! It was the S that was the problem, thank you!
@Gameboi14 HOLY SHIBA! That's fantastic!
@SWAGDADDY7 I used the typical method for putting pictures in posts, .
@SWAGDADDY7 Added a link.
@PositivePlanes You on mobile? I'll add a link.
@SWAGDADDY7
@SWAGDADDY7 Alrighty then, I already got something in mind. ^^
Are digital drawings allowed? If not I could enter a traditionally drawn pic.

@MaxB17 Interesting, guess the rugged AK had some German DNA.
@MaxB17 The Electroboot did influence a number of Russian boats in the early fifties.
@LancasterAce True, I'm sure peeps would appreciate a second classic u-boat which comes with the full function of a submarine.
@LancasterAce Though I have plans to focus on 50's subs, for a request I think I'll accept. Especially given I have an idea on how I'd do the deck guns. Plus! I would be able to equip it with torpedoes in a manner that allows it free diving without making the weapons poof.
