Probably won't have my entry done 100% by the deadline so I'll just release it as is when the deadline comes and hope my detailed cockpit will be its saving grace. XD
@TDevil36
I'm genuinely surprised and impressed you've taken this build this far. Nice job! I don't really do military designs anymore and largely focusing on general aviation, but I think you'll have an easier time building with hollow fuselage slicing than paneling. The amount of time panelling took is largely why I quit SP over a year ago and the new fuselage and cockpit updates pretty much brought me back because its far more easier now and less time consuming for me to make a high-quality low-part count build.
2!!! Everts Air Cargo please! :D (or 6)
If you don't make an Everts Air Cargo livery I'm gonna launch a V2 at New Zealand. Flying C-46's for Everts Air Cargo in Alaska is one of my dream flying jobs I hope I can fulfill in the near future before they are gone.
@Sm10684
:D
Thank Jundroo for that! The new cockpit update brought me out of retirement. lol
For the first time in a little over a year I'm building something totally new again, although with my "comeback" I'll likely focus more on general aviation designs than military like I did before.
Thanks Jundroo, this update has brought me back to building and flying in SP after an almost year-long hiatus. Now, all we need are aerodynamic-looking wings, customizable engines & landing gear (akin to SR2), and a more adventure-like map that we can explore. I would love to fly in SP more especially since we now can make even more realistic planes but the default map is incredibly plain and boring to explore.
4 Things:
-I must know what map mod that is
-The updated Kea looks sick
-Please make a cabbage version that isn't totally stripped like the MP version
-How the heck did you get ray tracing in SP?
Fun Fact: Piper did actually make a "Piper Swift" - well kind of, and two variants. The Piper "Fury" and "Swiftfire" were essentially Globe Swifts that were heavily redesigned by the Piper-LoPresti Engineering team. The Fury came with a 200HP Lycoming IO-360 while the Swiftfire had a 420HP Allison 250 turbine. Sadly they never entered production since they were developed right before Piper itself went bankrupt in 1991. Another quick fun fact with other resurrection attempts with the Globe Swift design itself: Aviat Aircraft bought the rights to the aircraft in 1999 but a lawsuit dispute occurred between Aviat and LoPresti over the aircraft's use that prevented Aviat from reviving the design for production. The type-certificate & original production tooling were also obtained by Univair who made spare parts for the Swift until 1979 when the Swift Museum Foundation bought the tooling & type-certificate from Univair.
I have no words to describe how epic this looks. Everything about this design is just beyond cool. I also noticed the landing gear is the same style used on Scrappy. :)
Anyways, tag me please! Also the first image or the 2nd to last image should be the thumbnail. That's also pretty genius how you mounted an EMS (Engine Monitoring System) screen on each side/upper corner of the cabin.
@TheHaggisBasher
You happy now? XD
@AndrewGarrison
For a plane to be curated does it have to be under the mobile-friendly tab?
@WhyBreadSoFattning
The old guy in my profile pic was my designated pilot examiner.
Well well well would you look at that. XD

Awesome! That's the goal!
@PSsyalperdna
Should work now

Ah, just noticed that when I look at it from a different browser. Gonna try a different link.

Also you should do 1 Buffalo Airways. Them and Everts Air Cargo/Fuel I believe are the last scheduled operators of the C-46.

JohnnyBoythePilot.exe has stopped working
Ayy nice to see your still active!
Upvote for effort :P
Funny you make a Vision Jet, since I'm making a VLJ (Very Light Jet) 6-seat killer turboprop
Master of STOL has gifted us yet again. Here, have an upvote dopamine hit.
Ah I see I'm not the only one who's back from retirement

Oof, I didn't see yours when I made mine. I just thought that meme fitted this situation perfectly. Like minds think alike?
