but trying do dodge both them and the base missiles was a bit too much 😅

they strapped weapons to existing transport heli's ;)
attack helicopters came much later.
the first operational attack helicopter was the Bell AH-1 Cobra, which is based on the UH-1 Huey.
reminds me of the K-Max.
which is not a very maneuverable heli, but has wonderful hovering and lifting capabilities.
it's also why the Army started using it Unmanned on remote control for cargo logistics ;)
I bought the OST, and I like all 5 tracks tbh...
I run the game with music off, but they are all on my playlist when I put music on to do other things.

if you mean the exhausts, that's on purpose.
when afterburner is off, the reactor thrust goes to the reactive thrusters for hovering, with excess heat exhausted out those ports..
when afterburner is on it diverts all power into the main engines, shutting down the reactive thrust system, including excess heat and exhaust... so the rear exhausts cut off as they now go through the engines.
at least that's the idea behind that :)

I like the fact that this craft can kill you if you don't pay attention and manage it :)

I like this little thing, think it would fit great as a crop duster.
not a big fan of always flying with gyro on, but it's not that bad in this case.
using nozzles and Vtol engines needs the Gyro power.
loses altitude really quickly and gets into spins easily...
but those only mean you actually need to pay attention to it..
so yeah, it's a nice VTOL I like it :)
@taleofatadpole they should be synced by default, in the MP launcher you have a checkbox, make sure it's black.
not sure if that box appears in MP launcher in general, or if you need TrollShield.

Guns, Cannons, Rocket pods, flares/chaff don't show or work on other players
Depending on ping, AA missiles might not work either.
make sure you have Explosions synced on both players, and be on discord, so you can call things like gun kills, or when the game doesn't register a hit by missiles.

it's not easy!
I've done it a lot of times, but It's one of my favorite things to do when I play :)
one of my favorite challenges is landing in the ice base with no countermeasures.
