Podseti me slobodno.
It sounds interesting, but more of a mod material. It sounds too niche for the main game. In the old SP, I think Gestour and MisterT could make something like that. We'll see who the top modders in the new game will be.
Another idea I have is an approach similar to the rotation with Fine Tuner. In that mode, mirroring axis would be the first selected part of the group, which would not be mirrored. Other selected parts would then mirror around it when the command is given.
As a more or less active player of ten years, I'm quite accustomed to the old system, flawed as it is. Of course, extra options like parts being mirrored while they are being added would be welcome. In fact, that would considerably accelerate the early build process, where a bunch of large parts need to form a (usually) symmetric base of the build. Perhaps some builds could benefit from four-way radial mirroring, and certainly some subassemblies would, so I suggest adding that too as an option.
Perhaps a system in which we could multi-select parts for both nudging an mirroring would be handy. If a subassembly is supposed to appear multiple times on a build (ex. seats), you could just select the whole thing, and nudge and mirror in increments without having to unselect the assembly to mirror it.
It looks great, especially the roundels. And I'm stealing that engine realism stuff if I ever build a plane again.
It's really well built, flies great, and even has wingtip stall like the real thing. 10/10
@Cuboidable it's a combination of the Turkish word "kara", which means "black", and "Đorđe", Serbian equivalent of the name "George". Karađorđe was the leader of the First Serbian Uprising against the Turks.
@Cuboidable you can build an airship, but there's no need to make it for the challenge. All the entries have been rated, winners declared, and rewards shared over a year ago.
@Graingy that was old even back when I started. From what I remember, it was added for Hypnotoad's style of builds, but that was years after Hypnotoad went inactive.
@RamboJutter my first thought when I saw it was "does the lower wing detach?". Maybe do Nikitin-Shevchenko IS-2 instead. Its lower wing retracts into the upper one.
Maybe do that but with a different fuselage.
This is a beautifully modeled build, though I would suggest a few minor improvements. You can add audio = false to jointRotator tab in Overload to make rotators quiet. You can also add diffuseInertiaTensors = false to the end of the first paragraph of XML so that moving the ailerons doesn't shake the whole plane. It should look like this. And I think you have a bit too much pitch authority. That aside, I really enjoyed flying this plane around. Using cannons for Maxim machine guns is a great idea, and decals are beautiful.
@GabrielFangster70 It's just another "I'm leaving" posts by a user with fewer than a hundred followers with whom I've interacted once or twice. If I weren't tagged on it, I wouldn't have given it a second glance. If you didn't want my opinion, why tag me?
As for that build, I'm leaking it all over the place. I've even sent unlisted version to a few guys who want to learn how to build their own sailing ships. The whole thing actually began as a learning tool for age of sail hulls, funnily enough.
Quit overreacting and keep building. When you feel like it, that is. This is not a job, it's a hobby. You spend time in it when you have spare time for it and when you have motivation and inspiration. Nobody's asking you to pump out a post every few days.
New game being in development doesn't mean the current one is suddenly any worse. It's not stopping me from attempting my most ambitious project yet.
@PlaneFun1 SimplePlanes 2 should be coming out this year. I think that might be worth coming back for. I'm glad to see you're still alive and taking some time for your hobbies.
@SPsidearm what? It's only 1.5k. That's mobile friendly these days ):
If you can't run it, ping me again tomorrow and I'll make a somewhat stripped down version.
@WritersCrusadersAirCo2 quit taking parts without credit. When people check three or four of your builds and not find any uncredited parts, they'll probably just find something else to be pissy about and you can continue your SP career without that nuisance.
You're good enough to not need to take parts, credit or no credit, so might as well stop doing it.
@GabrielFangster70 on one hand I'm glad I'm no longer a mod. On the other, I could have resolved the WCAC situation by now. It needs some actual attention from a mod who has patience to actually talk to people and to analyze the situation, and we don't seem to have one like that currently.
I've enabled 2FA. So far, it works. Verification mails arrive within seconds, codes work, and I'm not being constantly logged out on any of my devices.
@Spleeg1 to create new tags, you must be a moderator, as I was at the time when I made this post. I can no longer do it. If you have a suggestion for a few tags that you think people would use, feel free to ping one of the current moderators.
@XEPOH you don't have to upvote my build whenever I upvote yours. I upvote stuff I like, and you should only upvote stuff you really like. Upvotes are supposed to reward quality, not to be buddy tokens.
@SPsidearm it wouldn't do anything. Skirt just traps a pocket of air between the hull and the ground. The air is leaking under it constantly.
Also, skirts are made of thick rubber. You'd need something sharper than a nail.
Amazing work. Really smooth, amazingly detailed, overall great build. I'm not much of a car guy, so I'm not a good judge of handling, but build-wise, it's amazing.

@Ivan037 možeš da ga eksportuješ u blender iz igrice. Ima dugme u padajućem meniju u dizajneru.
Voleo bih da znam više o toj simulaciji.
Pozdrav
I really like the concept. I might build something like this in the future.
@RepublicofKomi of course you can. A-10s 2ings should be very easy to build with this technique.
@32 they are, but they aren't very important. Everything is shown in detail on the build itself.
Amazing truck, and amazing description. I think that yours is the most detailed of the bunch, with all the shovels and stuff. 10/10
Nice UI. Maybe add a vertical line to it to help with the aim?

Very impressive. I can't wait to get my hands on it.

@Thydoirito You're welcome. Why do you use a different account to reply to comments?

May I suggest using this kind of wing for Vol-4? I see you're making good progress with this plane.
@Graingy that was old even back when I started. From what I remember, it was added for Hypnotoad's style of builds, but that was years after Hypnotoad went inactive.

Just when you think RJ designs couldn't get any weirder XD
Great build mate.
Congratulations on platinum. Very nice build.
Not much difference from the previous version, but it's still a really nice build. I had some fun strafing things with it.
It's this one
@Fillo5ophy anytime. Feel free to ping me for the full version.

Did you really build the whole thing all by your self?
Beautiful boat. Good work.

I'm going to have this 3D printed and go plow some fields.
@PlaneFun1 he deleted his account. Didn't even say goodbye.
@PlaneFun1 did you save any stuff from your old account? It might be nice to post a few if you still have them.
@YarisSedan it's fine. We were younger back then. Kids do dumb stuff. I did my share of stirring trouble too, back in a day.
@PlaneFun1 SimplePlanes 2 should be coming out this year. I think that might be worth coming back for. I'm glad to see you're still alive and taking some time for your hobbies.
Nice bird. Looks very dieselpunk.

@GabrielFangster70 actually, I think I've already talked to WCAC before about the issue. If he wants, he's free to contact me.
@GabrielFangster70 what needs explaining?

@MAHADI thanks. It's a very unique boat. A bit narrow for its length, but otherwise very well done.
@MarkMCraft you're asking me what was the joke I made three years ago? What did you have for breakfast on this day three years ago? (:
