Prepare for the wall of text.
Very nice details on this boat. You chose a pretty unique design, and gave a good amount of attention to details. I also like the torpedoes. I managed to sink USS Tiny on my first attempt. That's the plus side.
Now for the critics.
Handling is pretty bad. You did good using VTOL for propulsion, but you did it the wrong way. You have VTOL nozzles everywhere. One is enough, if placed right. It should be as far back as possible, and as low as possible, to give the boat a tilt towards the inside of the curve when it's turning. Prevent it from flipping by putting small blocks with edited buoyancy near the waterline on both sides. To aid the tilting, you can hide XML-edited jet engines in the tallest part of the ship (Example, in the radar tower, check their xml stats). Also, look inside the hull of that one to find another system that helps with the proper handling.
Aesthetics are good overall, but there are a few flaws. Front gun is clipping through the antenna pole, the VTOL engine is sticking out, and you didn't disable flames on VTOL nozzles.
One more thing. FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, USE PROPELLERS THAT ACTUALLY WORK UNDER WATER. i'M TALKING ABOUT THEM FOR TEN MONTHS NOW, SOMEBODY COULD USE THEM ALREADY! You can find them on most of my ships. Not on the latest three tho. If you want to make them yourself, just make the propeller blades very thick (like on the real ship prop). Cord scale between 12 and 17 should do. Thicker the blades, deeper it can work.
Now, for a final word. Please, don't take this wall of text in a negative manner. I am impressed with the way your ships look, and I want to help you make them more pleasant to use. If you need further explanations of the things I mentioned above, or a direct example, I'll be there to provide.
Most of the original Star Wars weapons were made from old props for war-themed movies, or so I've heard. Also, looking at them, I can recognize a lot of them as obsolete real-world weapons.
In real world, there are thousands of different airfoils. SP offers a few of the basic ones. Symmetric airfoil provides minimal lift with minimal difference between low-speed and high-speed performance. It's good for fast planes, like jet fighters, and for horizontal stabilizers. Semi-symmetric provides a balance of lift and speed, being good for planes that go at subsonic speeds, but are not too slow. Flat bottom airfoil provides maximum lift. It's good for STOL aircraft and gliders.
To operate efficiently at high altitude, your aircraft must be built for that. That means low wing load and large control surfaces with small angle of deflection to avoid stall. Such aircraft will be extremely maneuverable at low altitude, stressing the airframe to the limits.
@noscrews in order for me to get a notification about you comment, you have to tag me. You do that by putting @ in front of my username. Example: @EternalDarkness
Although a great admirer of my ships, glaceon was an annoying idiot, plus racist. Not really a kind of person I would miss. @Blazeinfinity, every time you try to annoy me, a WW2 ship gets sunk by the Dominator class destroyer.
@AndrewGarrison i am probably not the first one to mention this, but could you add VTOL as an input for control surfaces and thus make it possible to create flaps without those bulky rotators? Most of my planes are light aircraft and don't have enough space for these, so I would really appreciate this option.
It sounds interesting, but more of a mod material. It sounds too niche for the main game. In the old SP, I think Gestour and MisterT could make something like that. We'll see who the top modders in the new game will be.
Another idea I have is an approach similar to the rotation with Fine Tuner. In that mode, mirroring axis would be the first selected part of the group, which would not be mirrored. Other selected parts would then mirror around it when the command is given.
As a more or less active player of ten years, I'm quite accustomed to the old system, flawed as it is. Of course, extra options like parts being mirrored while they are being added would be welcome. In fact, that would considerably accelerate the early build process, where a bunch of large parts need to form a (usually) symmetric base of the build. Perhaps some builds could benefit from four-way radial mirroring, and certainly some subassemblies would, so I suggest adding that too as an option.
Perhaps a system in which we could multi-select parts for both nudging an mirroring would be handy. If a subassembly is supposed to appear multiple times on a build (ex. seats), you could just select the whole thing, and nudge and mirror in increments without having to unselect the assembly to mirror it.
It looks great, especially the roundels. And I'm stealing that engine realism stuff if I ever build a plane again.
It's really well built, flies great, and even has wingtip stall like the real thing. 10/10
@Cuboidable it's a combination of the Turkish word "kara", which means "black", and "Đorđe", Serbian equivalent of the name "George". Karađorđe was the leader of the First Serbian Uprising against the Turks.
@Cuboidable you can build an airship, but there's no need to make it for the challenge. All the entries have been rated, winners declared, and rewards shared over a year ago.
@Graingy that was old even back when I started. From what I remember, it was added for Hypnotoad's style of builds, but that was years after Hypnotoad went inactive.
@RamboJutter my first thought when I saw it was "does the lower wing detach?". Maybe do Nikitin-Shevchenko IS-2 instead. Its lower wing retracts into the upper one.
Maybe do that but with a different fuselage.
@Sparrow007 :)
+1So, we can hope for better quality again, as well as more diversity?
+1@JimmyFargo1 I'm glad you like it
+1@mikoyanster thanks
+1It is based on USS Casablanca.
+1@AndrewGarrison could you please at least consider this? Shouldn't be too hard to make, and it has many uses, some of which I have described above.
+1@jlewisifer @Franklinclinton thanks guys
+1You scaled its mass to less than 0.5. 0.5 of its mass are rockets. When rockets are expended, it gains negative mass, making it glitch
+1@jamesPLANESii and how to properly knife a bully?
+1@Thepilot172 you still have the no cockpit version, or should I tag you there again?
+1No. You have to do it in Unity, and requires coding. There are mods that contain such missiles

One SP unit is 0.5m

+1Im XML file of the build, scroll to the bottom, find the color you want to edit, and edit its "r" attribute to how glossy you want (25+ for mirror)

+1A gun-propelled craft. Nice idea.
+1Very nice. Looks great. Only improvement that I could suggest would be using hover technology while on the ground.
+1@Astron1 or, if you are trying to make Android mod on your PC, you need JDK and Android SDK.
+1It looks very nice.
+1@MechWARRIOR57 it does influence the plane. It causes roll.
+1To operate efficiently at high altitude, your aircraft must be built for that. That means low wing load and large control surfaces with small angle of deflection to avoid stall. Such aircraft will be extremely maneuverable at low altitude, stressing the airframe to the limits.
+1Go to the in-editor menu and tap a button that says "share aircraft" or something like that.
+1@FreedAirplane59 yes. Can't wait to see changes you're gonna make
+1Nice SAMs. Did you make them yourself?
+1@noscrews in order for me to get a notification about you comment, you have to tag me. You do that by putting @ in front of my username. Example: @EternalDarkness
+1Go to my profile, select a hull you like, remove everything from it, scale it to the required size, and build your own ship with it.
+1@ViciousTNT no, I think the current upvote to prayer rate is 1.34 to 1
+1Noooo, take some of my motivation *throws two pounds of motivation at you
+1I never thought I'll see this plane on SP. Good job.
+1@Liquidfox my thought after I finished it lol
+1Eh, I can't remember. I think it's trim and VTOL, but I'm not sure. Try it out.
+1Great job. You definitely have to make an Antonov An2 with the skill you now have. I would be most delighted to see one of those nicely built.
+1Although a great admirer of my ships, glaceon was an annoying idiot, plus racist. Not really a kind of person I would miss. @Blazeinfinity, every time you try to annoy me, a WW2 ship gets sunk by the Dominator class destroyer.
+1With the hull this is successor to, I have uploaded a super-buoyant part that is to be installed into the hull to make it float.
+1I upvoted it first time, and I'm upvoting it again =)
+1Nice

Very impressive. I can't wait to get my hands on it.

May I suggest using this kind of wing for Vol-4? I see you're making good progress with this plane.
