@Greenfroggy spamming a little is not a big offense, so we generally just remove the post and issue a warning. For repeated spamming or more serious offenses, you get a strike. You get banned for collecting three strikes or doing something really bad like intentionally bypassing successor system or hate speech.

  • Bomb Cannon- How? 6.4 years ago

Place the bomb on a small end of the detacher, and use overload to make the small end point in the direction where you want bomb to fly. Then attach detacher to the barrel of the gun.
Just in case, disable collisions on a bomb. Nudge the bomb to be in line with the small end of the detacher (the middle of the small end and the should be in line with axis of the bomb). Set detacher to Ag9 through XML, so you don't fire all ammo with a click of a button, and set its power as you want. Scale bomb and detacher to fit inside the barrel. Check if small side of detacher and bomb are still aligned. Attach as many bombs as you want, and nudge inside the barrel.
    Better option
Use small pylon instead of detacher. It works the same (attach to the flat side, align with the axis of the bomb), but it lets you paste multiple bombs in the same place, saving you an effort of looking where to put them.
Fire by launching bombs the normal way.

  • My Issue with Mobile Friendly Builds 4.0 years ago

Mobile friendly classification and tag used to mean simply that build has no parts from third party mods and can thus run on iOS. Now, it's quite vague. Some phones can run well over 2000 parts, while some can't even run 300. The original meaning of the tag has been long forgotten.

  • About the new cannons... 4.5 years ago

You can set firing delay to "0" on all guns except the last one to fire, and set firing delay on the last one to be time between salvos. It's not a perfect solution, but it's the closest you can get without the salvo option. I have suggested salvo option to devs and they'll look into it.

  • 1.8 Beta now available 5.3 years ago

I have noticed that helicopters shake quite a bit while the rotor is gaining speed. Also, scaling of any prop engines (including new ones) is broken. A scaled prop will show thick blades in editor, but thin ones in game.

  • Q&A with EternalDarkness (again) 5.4 years ago

@Aarons123 it's an old philosophy of mine. Philosophers through history all had their ideas of how the world came to be. Some said it came from fire, some that it came from stone, that some devine creature made it,... I wasn't happy with any of those explanations, so I came up with my own: the world come to be from nothingness. Existence from non-existence. In non-existence, there is no light, thus it is darkness, and non-existence cannot stop existing, thus it is eternal. From that, Eternal Darkness. I admit, there is also the fact that it sounds a bit ominous, which is cool.

  • [Christmas release] Tardigrade Expedition Vehicle 5.4 years ago

This is one very good looking build. However, I have a few tips regarding functionality:
    - Engine and brakes should be much weaker. A truck this big shouldn't have a sports car acceleration and deceleration.
    - Side doors should open on Ag input (input = Activate1) and extending tunnels should be enabled by the same activation group with zeroOnDeactivate = True, so they can't extend when the door is closed or stay open when the door closes.

  • Explaining ForeverPie/Goodbye/Hiatus 6.0 years ago

The problem seems to be that you failed to progress, and that you ran out of airliners. Those two problems are connected. You can't learn all the good tricks for airliners by constantly making airliner. I know that sounds stupid, but let me explain. Some of the good tricks necessary for better airliner actually are more prominent on trainers, fighters, or even biplanes. Making these would force you to learn new tricks. Also, general aviation planes would give you a quick testing platform for new tricks. Making only airliners, you can only get this far.
Also, nobody's forcing you to constantly play SP. Make a build when you feel like it, come online to hang out a bit when you are bored... I sometimes go more than two months without building anything. You just don't notice because I upload something from my stock during such period.

I agree with you. I think SR2 should be renamed to SimpleVehicles before it's too late, @AndrewGarrison. I assure you I'll make a ship as soon as I get my hands on a floaty block. I've heard you aren't planning to have weapons initially, but hopefully we'll get those too eventually. Soon, we'll be making cars, tanks, boats, planes, and anime girls in the new game.

Often, I know the builder well enough to know that the build will fly very well. Example is @SledDriver. All his builds are great fliers, and they usually have custom weapon systems. So I only have to decide if I like the way it looks. I test his builds later, when I wanna have some fun with them, and they never disappoint. On the other hand, I test many builds before they are published. I have many friends who appreciate my nitpicking on WIPs, so they send builds over for final testing. When they are posted, I already know how they work, so I just hit upvote.
