@Fjorge go and read everything about planes. Aerodynamics, history of aviation, technical stuff, all you can get. Also, look at planes until you have a good sense of proportion of planes. That's what I did.
@Awsomur a military plane doesn't quite fit on Bandit no matter what side of the Bandit you are on. It needs a hard runway, and maybe some facilities. Bandit is more for light aircraft.
@calred very nice. As for what to make next, possibilities are endless. If you are into space tech, you can make lunar rowers, rockets, satellites, etc. You can also make airplanes, ships, vehicles, weird contraptions, or anything you can think of.
Torpedo wasn't meant to be in 1.6 Beta. It's meant for 1.7, which will be mostly weapons update as far as I know. Gyroscope is a must have for VTOL, and spheres and hemispheres have aesthetic use, besides being a landing gear for drones.
@Stellarlabs the props have to be thick, like boat props. That requires XML editing (in game files or by using Overload mod). Since you are relatively new to the game, you can take some from my ships. The most recent ones don't use those props, so try older ones. Also, I never use them for actual propulsion. They are mostly for decoration. What I do is place a VTOL engine somewhere above the water, and place a VTOL nozzle rotated on its side, set to turn with Roll, somewhere near the bow or the stern.
@Redstreak45 sorry. I haven't meant to sound sour, but now that I read that comment, I did sound that way. Rotorcraft generally need gentle input, whilst using WASD gives the extreme (maximum) input in an instant. Yes, landing is a bit tricky, because I used stock rotors with throttle governor. That makes it nearly impossible to hover and make a gentle descent. To land, you'll need to practice a bit, and adjust throttle a lot. A bit less throttle to make it go down, then a bit more to make the fall slower. Then, before it starts going up, a bit less throttle, and so on. Also, due to skies digging in on landing, you have to keep the forward speed at almost zero. Better performance are achievable with custom rotors, with which I will be working in a future, after I finish a few quick projects that are meant to have stock rotor (small prop engine). Again, sorry for my previous response.
You don't have to get over it. Just please remove the "Announcement" tag, as this is not a SimplePlanes related announcement. Some users tend to get upset when they notice a post with a tag that shouldn't be there.
@Thepilot172 unfortunately, the upload of this build is postponed due to my lack of inspiration to upload. When I upload it, I will probably read the comments here and respond to your request. Also, mod part is used to power the radar and aesthetic propellers. It's not vital for the functionality of the build. It will either be removed, or, in case of the radar, be replaced with old "infinite rotator".
@BogdanX it certainly does. If you adjust it right, it flies like a real helicopter. The stability doesn't feel unnatural, and gyro provides all the pitching and rolling you need, so you don't need VTOL engines.
@SimpleFlow torpedo wasn't meant to be in this one, so I left it out. I have corrected the description, as this one uses all three new parts. The description was written for the older version, which is a predecessor to this one. I have changed a few things, and found out that sphere fits better as the nose than hemisphere.
@MechWARRIOR57 the way they look does matter, as well as some bugs they have. Torpedoes are far from being ready, and they will probably come out in a same update with unguided rockets.
@AdrianFlyingAce ugh, terrible timing again. I was out drinking, just came home. Can you just comment anything, so I see the notification in the morning, when I am sober? Sorry

Kinda cute. Why's the fuselage so fat in the rear tho? It should narrow down and be shorter
Finally something that's not a spaceship
@Redstreak45 I might stream sometime. I have thought about it.
@Awsomur also, Wright has nearby air-to-ground targets that are not in a canyon, si I can do quick tests of my weapons
@Awsomur a military plane doesn't quite fit on Bandit no matter what side of the Bandit you are on. It needs a hard runway, and maybe some facilities. Bandit is more for light aircraft.
I fly from Wright. I used to use Bandit, but it didn't fit most of my planes, intended to operate from military bases.
@Shinabuta they are programmed to be sitting ducks for target practice, like decommissioned tanks on real firing ranges.

@Dllama4 I know. Can't wait to see what the conversion will be
@Dllama4 let me see (tag me on it). If there's enough changes, it won't have to be a successor. I worked pretty damn hard on this one, you know
@Mymessage lol thanks :)
@RailfanEthan no problem
@Dllama4 feel free to. Just make sure it's a successor.
@Redstreak45 use mouse as joystick. I thought that's obvious enough
@Thepilot172 I can't remember. It shouldn't be too big
@Mymessage it still says 99 Upvotes to me...
@ChasingHorizon sure does. Took a bit of effort to get the shape just right.
Here you go. I hope this is what you are looking for.
@Dllama4 A frigate or a destroyer is more than my device can handle. I have built one of each, bit making them wasn't a pleasure.

@BogdanX you're not gonna make something with the update parts first?
@BogdanX yup. But he worked hard on it

@Yellow no problem
@CaesiciusPlanes thanks
@Yellow aim for the CoM
@Fjorge it won't be anytime soon
@Fjorge If I decide to make another map like this, I will utilise the help of a few friends who can code things like mines.
@Fjorge there's cubes that you're not supposed to hit, out of courtesy. I couldn't code real mines.
@Benny3053 no problem
Eh, you don't need gyro cockpits anymore. New beta update has improved gyroscope, that provides both stabilization and control.
@kukimuki1234 idi u fajlove i izbrisi stari FineTuner. Onda instaliraj novi
That interior is amazing. Great job
@kukimuki1234 Unity. Imaš tutorial u sekciji za modove.
@AdrianFlyingAce yup. Unlisted backups are a good thing
@AdrianFlyingAce oh. Well, I guess you'll have to start over
@MechWARRIOR57 the way they look does matter, as well as some bugs they have. Torpedoes are far from being ready, and they will probably come out in a same update with unguided rockets.
@AdrianFlyingAce how did that happen?
@JMicah4 sure
@AdrianFlyingAce ugh, terrible timing again. I was out drinking, just came home. Can you just comment anything, so I see the notification in the morning, when I am sober? Sorry
@Innox thanks man. No need to be overjoyed. I'm just an ordinary guy who has a lot of experience in this game.
