Yes, the most important factor is air density, but in two ways: amount of air propellers are pushing and amount of air engine is getting. Piston engine without turbocharger (small prop) should start losing power above 3000m, and die at 4500-5500 depending on what engine it's meant to simulate. Turboprop can handle a lot of altitude. It simply increases rotor pitch and/or RPM.
I see myself enjoying these engines on private versions of my builds. They are very fun. Much more interesting sound effects than on stock engines. There's just one bug I have noticed on Merlin. Sound cuts out every few seconds for a fraction of a second. It gets a bit annoying at full throttle. And, a little suggestion: make turboprops next. Some I'd like to see are Kuznetsov NK-12M, Allison T56, and maybe Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-68 for smaller planes.
Also, it would be great if they came with collisions disabled so they can be hidden when they are installed just for the sound. Overload doesn't yet support editing of mod parts, and manual editing is sometimes too much to bother.
It's a shame for all this work to go to waste. Next time, please test your plane. Right main gear doesn't retract, planes rolls hard to the right, and it cannot take off. Also, with this much attention to details, ailerons moving through the fuselage cover of wings is an unpleasant surprise.
Nice vehicle, but not quite BM-21-like. It's too low. Real BM-21 has its cabin over the gearbox, and is quite tall. It's mounted on Ural-375 truck. Hood should be as tall as it is wide, approximately. Hood is also too long. It gives a feel of a large pickup truck, not an off-road beast.
How does ccooper qualify for the list? Arrogant, upvote-mining noob that traded for upvotes until community took action. He mined upvotes from low ranking users in exchange for support.
Flaps always point down. They are not pitch control surfaces. Their job is to increase lift by adding chamber to the wing profile at the cost of drag. The plane you got is not realistically designed. Probably some kind of artists idea of what a supersonic airliner is supposed to look like. CoL would be too far back. Those wings are copied from a conventional airliner, so surfaces you have marked would be flaps.
@CRJ900Pilot there are panties. So, the important stuff isn't shown. Also, tail is not attached in a pervy manner, being paced way too high for that. So far, I don't see a single thing one would complain about. Do you react in the same manner to every good-looking woman wearing somewhat revealing clothes you see on the street?
If I ever want to blow something up, I'll put my laptop under it, tell it to download and run this build, and run like hell. But judging by the pictures, it's a great ship. Outstanding attention to details, accurate overall shape, good choice of colors. Would you mind posting a gallery of pictures of this ship in action (on Imgur or other image hosting service) and liking it here? I'd love to see more.
Why delete account? You might have overworked lately, and inspiration has dried up. Let it replenish. And there's no reason to doubt your builds. They are very nice.
Very nice, especially for your level. I see quite a few details on it. Only advice I can give you is related to posting planes. Take time to write a description, and use all three screenshots you can for upload.
@Thederpingmemes iOS devices can't use mods. You can have 24x10THz processor, and iOS would still not support mods. iOS doesn't support changing files, and adding mods is changing files.
Realistic water simulation is both difficult to make (due to actual water physics) and difficult for the processor to run. I don't think any of our mod makers are capable of doing it, especially not for free.
Eh, where should I start? Torpedo, attacher (opposite of detacher), gyroscope, modern cannon, BogdanX's suggestion, better dummy (better than what we used to have long ago), glass, rope (flexible), leaf spring, cyclic option on rotator (custom rotator, would be useful to propell vehicles using your tracks mod), drive wheel for tracks mod, big rocket pod (rapid firing), road wheels for tracks,... I'm out of ideas for now. I know most of these are still beyond your capabilities, but if you make those that you can, it would be great.
PS: I almost forgot, triangular cross-section resizable fuselage block with editable corners.
@Hatsy @Erc90F4RU Looks German enough to me. The nose screams Heinkel. The belly-mounted intake was most famously seen on P-51, so it automatically resembles that a little, but other then that, it's a very German aircraft.
This is a very good build. I'd just suggest giving it a better description. A word or two about the plane itself, a list of which button does what, maybe a few pictures of the plane in action...
@Graingy @JBPAviation @SimplPleyns it was intended for the stuff like what Hypnotoad used to make. It was quite popular before fuselage blocks were a thing.
This is an absolutely amazing build for a bronze level user. Some tweaks could improve its usability a bit, but nothing major. I'd suggest using roll for turning, since it doesn't appear to be used for anything else. That allows for much more accurate steering on PC, where we don't have those little thumb joysticks on screen to control yaw. I also suggest using input sum(Yaw) for the turret traverse. It's more intuitive.
I see the build has a lot of moving parts, proportion is good, and you even added cameras to everything important, which is something many experienced builders forget to do. Makes me wonder if you've had an account before of if this really is your first one.
Also, it would be a good idea to write which input and activation group does what so people can just jump in and use it without having to figure it out themselves. I still haven't figured out what group 1 and 2 do. It's best to write it in both the ingame instructions and the description.
There are also inputs that would allow Inferno missiles to pop up automatically when selected, and that would limit the top speed. I'll find them for you if you want.
Beautiful build, though I'd suggest giving it a better set of wings. There's this trick with fuselage slicing that lets you build realistic wings quite easily.
Excellent build, both in terms of looks and in terms of performance. It lacks a bit of drag so it's quite reluctant to lose speed when landing, but other than that she was a pleasure to fly. Cockpit could use some work. I had a bit of trouble finding the switches in the dark. Overall a very nice plane.
@ShinyGemsBro yup. Since the cannon with its many customization options was my idea, I was asked to provide a stock vehicle to demonstrate it. Turning my APC into a self-propelled mortar system was the best I could do in the short time I had.
Classic UR, making a ship with more parts than a real one would have XD
It looks beautiful. I suggest adding some more pictures for those who can't run it (which is most of us).
Why didn't you post it as unlisted then? That feature was made specifically so you can share your build between devices and have hidden online backups.
@LJh1 I disagree. A low ranking user with a good build that is not based on an existing one usually grows quickly.
@Hafidz333 try spending some time to make builds that can compete with the best. And not by just editing existing builds. Learn how it's done and make something actually good. Builds that score well generally look like real planes, have very realistic performance, interesting features, innovative techniques... You have blocky planes and edits of other people's builds. If you're aiming for upvotes, frankly, the only advice I can give is "git gud".
Sincerely, someone who reached platinum less than three months after making an account.
Very nice build, though it has a few minor issues. Cameras all auto-center, which makes looking at the levers you want to operate nearly impossible on PC. I'd also recommend using a button to open the door instead of a lever.
The plane rolls to the right due to CoM being offset to the right. Fixing CoM might actually have adverse effect though, as drag is also off-center. I'd suggest building without drag on all parts, and then adding drag to only one or to large parts on the centerline to avoid that problem on future builds. Also, trim does almost nothing. Trim authority should be somewhere between 1/4 and 1/2 of the pitch authority.
On the positive note, the build is beautifully sculpted, smooth, everything works, wings are very nice... Overall, I enjoyed flying it.
@Kangy I guess it would be more like a competition with monetary reward for one or two mods that get added to the game annually. People would keep making mods, and the best ones would get a reward that's not just internet points that everyone with any kind of skill to their name stopped caring about years ago.
Besides, if you're gonna be making mods for SP, you probably already have SP and don't need a steam key. Alternative would be gift cards.
There's just one flaw: you forgot to add "xeroOnDeactivate" to TVC rotators. Other than that, good job.

+3This XML features will be very useful. I've been waiting for them for a while now. Thanks dev team.
+3Most users would just give up after receiving no attention on the first post. You went and made it better instead. Good job.
+3This is political content, which is against rules. It is also a zero effort code build, using WNP78s code.
+3Remind me to fly it tomorrow, please. I can't do it now. It looks great.

+3Very imaginative. I love the idea. Make more stuff out of household items :)
+3Unfortunately, I can't accept a fighter as an entry to a trainer challenge. Still, looks nice.

Why not add Malyutka missiles? Our gazelles are compatible with Malyutka missiles. Also, with Kornet missiles now after the modernization.
