  • I need somw help 6.5 years ago

To dtart a challenge, I recommend first posting a build that you'd consider a good entry, so potential participants can see you know what you are doing. Then, issue a set of requirements. For example, "no mod parts, must have at least x parts, must be flyable,...". You specifically state that xml editing is allowed, else you'll get a lot of people asking if they may edit this or that. You issue a deadline. Rewards are usually upvotes. Since winners are likely to have more points than you, I advise against promising spotlights. You may also present a rating system. You can see example of that on my challenges. Oh, and don't just post a cockpit. Try to make a 2d logo or something. Nobody likes a cockpit.

@robloxweponco I simply made a quick and simple build that shows the bug and posted it, even though all builds I tried to make with new rotors encountered the same bug.

@Sinacraft you're close, it's based on its attack version, MiG-27.

@BoganBoganTheMan sorry, I've deleted the version you upvoted. I accidentally posted twice.

Minor suggestion: scale destroyers to match USS Beast. Those ships are supposed to be around 150m long, but now look like fishing boats.

  • 1.8 Beta now available 6.5 years ago

I have noticed that helicopters shake quite a bit while the rotor is gaining speed. Also, scaling of any prop engines (including new ones) is broken. A scaled prop will show thick blades in editor, but thin ones in game.

@P0TET0Z no. You can, however, see how it's made and apply the technique to your own design.

While this is a very nice build, it's not what I had in mind for the challenge. I can't accept it :(
    Here's a spotlight instead.

@JonTKocz you ned to post them somewhere first. Site doesn't host pictures. Then you write ![](link to the picture.jpg). If you use Imgur, remove "s" from "https".

  • Can Someone Pls Help Me Set Up Hinge Control Surfaces? 6.5 years ago

I suggest using this in combination with this and this. It'll let you do wonders (including accurate rotation and positioning and very advanced things normally impossible with stock parts.

@Chancey21 yeah, it's a borderline case, but better safe than sorry. You'll notice I haven't removed the post. Can't wait to test this plane. (figure of speech. I'm not testing any entry before the deadline)

I've edited the part that is borderline begging for upvotes. I understand you didn't do it on purpose, but please don't use "upvote to be tagged" anymore.

  • What should my next challenge be? 6.5 years ago

    How about this:
You give yourself some time to master building and learn to use (and thus understand difficulty of using) various techniques, master the subject on which you are making a challenge, gain a reputation in this community, and then host an actually good challenge? No self-respecting builder will enter a challenge of someone who hasn't made an excellent build that would fit the challenge.

  • please add 6.5 years ago

There is no need for that, as Guardian missile can be set to lock onto ground targets using the this in combination with this.

  • "Add a part and pass it around" 6.5 years ago

@JediWolf it's a cat. You can't properly train a cat. It just does whatever it feels like. One of the reasons why I don't keep pets inside the house.

  • "Add a part and pass it around" 6.5 years ago

@JediWolf that's called diarrhea. Your cat had diarrhea. AIDS is an immune system disease that incubates often for longer than a cat can live before showing its symptoms in a form of immune system malfunction. Then a common cold kills you. And it is a sexually transmitted disease. You don't get in in a fight.

This is the old system, used before update 1.7. It has a problem of being able to stop the barrel in the compressed position. Since 1.7 update allowed us to set damage of guns to 0, a new system was created where the piston is replaced by a shock, and there is a gun with no damage firing backwards at it to compress it. Still, nice gun.
