Having pretty much mastered fuselages by now, I think you should also try custom wings. This technique offers decent, easy to make custom wings with low part count.
As always, nice build.
@CookieCrumzReturns new mods are pretty good too. Old community members, all of them.
I'm still here too, just not moderating. I'm also still making builds, though I rarely actually post them.
@Fish83828 nope. I've had it with all the drama. Somebody else can lost their faith in humanity every day while looking at all the NSFW builds and idiotic arguments that have been reported XD
You should have given the engine less torque in my opinion. Taking off is really difficult. Wheels could have been scaled by width to reduce the attachment point size. Other than that, it's a very nice build.
@CanadianAircraftBuilder it was that really well built twin by a bronze user. You gave it quite a praise. It was a copy that intentionally bypassed successor system.
@Imvictor you should never claim other people's builds as your own. The build you stole is a very popular build of my friend.
Stealing builds is against the rules.
Nice upgrade to the landing gear.
I advise against covering wings with fuselage blocks like that. Control surfaces clipping through is considered more of a noob move than naked wings. You can experiment with one of many custom wing techniques that actually give good looking wings. here's mine.
Custom wings still need wing parts inside them. Control surfaces on them are usually done with hinges moving a sculpted fuselage piece with a small wing hidden inside it, or by having custom surfaces empty and using stock control surfaces.
If you go with stock control surfaces on hidden wings, scale the wing thinner so control surfaces move less and don't clip out of the custom wing body.
You really ought to experiment with traction settings of single wheels. You're making some really nice builds, and these twin wheels are just taking away from them.
A pair of these flew over my house yesterday. They flew soo low my windows are till rattling!
It's a beautiful aircraft, and you have made a very good model of it. Good job.
You can edit description by pressing the little triangle next to the number of downloads, and then "edit". I'm not requesting that you do, as I find the comment and auto credit above description to be more than enough. Just for future use, when you find yourself in the need to correct a typo or something.
@JuliusCeasor98 it's all right. The site has a system for finding original builds, and links them automatically. Still, thanks. I'm glad you like this build.
@JacksEpicGamingYT it's difficult not to know that something is rude. Usually, you would get a warning for the first minor offense, at least back when I was a moderator. For the current state of affairs, you would have to ask current moderators.
I like pre-dreadnoughts, and this build sort of captures the spirit of one.
You should try to, if not build a replica of a real pre-dreadnought, then at least work off a picture and try to get close.
Should you decide to do that, you can ask me for tips, or join PortSP, Discord server for exchanging shipbuilding techniques.
@IceCraftGaming it's heavy for what it is. Actually for what it was meant to be. The build it was made for was supposed to hold twelve of them, along with assorted smaller guns, and other things a protected cruiser should have. Over one thousand parts just for the main guns would be a bit excessive.
I'll sound a tad sour. The challenge post has one part too many, and asking for people to upvote the post is strictly against the rules, and a passing moderator may strike you for it.
On the other hand, this is a challenge much to my liking. Decently defined rules and requirements, and thumbnail is not a photoshopped picture, but a proper build representative of the challenge.
@CarMaker20 it's not worth it. You get to deal with a bunch of annoying users who hate your guts because you are enforcing the rules they have agreed to follow. I have received literal death threats when I was a moderator.
@CarMaker20 it comes with a temporary ban, duration of which depends on the severity of the offense. When this post was made, it wasn't so. A strike was a permanent note visible only to the moderators.
I am no longer a moderator though. Things might have changed these days.
I have finally tested it. It looks as good up close as it does in the screenshots. Suspension is quite stiff for this kind of vehicle though, and you should invest into FT engine inputs that allow both realistic acceleration and good hill climbing.
There are better ways to control an airship than a gyroscope. Mine (you can find it on my profile) uses differential vertical thrust for buoyancy and attitude control.
I like the design, though it could use some refinement. I believe future iterations will be even better. If you need any tips, feel free to ping me, or find me on Discord.
@fantasyucakistan this is a very old build. It could use a complete remake. Game's physics have been somewhat updated since this was built, and it wasn't a very good build to begin with.
It took you a while to reply XD
I'm always happy to help promising shipbuilders.
I now run a Discord server for shipbuilding on SimplePlanes. Drop by if you're not already in it.
The heart of the greatest plane ever made!

@Fish83828 lol

+3@Fish83828 I'm glad you like it.
@RedAndGreenAmongus a lot of effort went into reducing the part count. I'm glad it was worth it.
@MAPA you're welcome buddy.

+1@CanadianAircraftBuilder original was by my buddy Authros, I watched it being made, so easily recognized it.

@CanadianAircraftBuilder @MAPA link to the original build. This is a copy.
Nice upgrade to the landing gear.

@MAPA you're welcome buddy. It's a duty of us veterans to help the new guys get better and get noticed.
+1It's so boxy, Short Sherpa fell in love with it.
+1I like it though.

+2Flight model is quite good. I like it. Very nice simple build.
+2You could/should have used single wheels for landing gear, but that's a minor detail.

Hey look! A Wolfy build! Looks great mate, I just love the wood in the cockpit.
+2@IICXLVIICDLXXXIIIDCXLVII you have a point there.
+1@JacksEpicGamingYT developers are above moderators. They have higher authority.

@Shootingstar07 Sure.
Sucks to see that the old problems still persist, though it only stands to reason. You're doing a great job keeping them in check, guys.
+3@WiiMini mentioning your server when context calls for it was always allowed. Quit bugging the new guy.

+1@Vincent, can you help out here?
@DeveloperKorzalerke There is a saying where I'm from. Roughly translated, goes "What a smart man is ashamed of, a fool is proud of".
It's a nice conversion. Appropriate for this chassis.
@DuskV yes. The engines themselves would be in a room next to the intakes, and would deliver power to the propellers via shafts.

Quite impressive. It's not something that generally goes with my typical builds, but I'm sure it will be fun for messing around.
+4Oh, hi (:
@UmbrellaCorporation why delete your comments?
@UmbrellaCorporation I can contact him the same way you can: through the contact link in the footer of the page. Unless it is absolutely urgent.
@UmbrellaCorporation hardly. I haven't heard from the guy since I stopped being a moderator.
@UmbrellaCorporation hello.
@RomanoMilos oh, then it's great. I didn't know that.

It looks amazing, especially for the part count. Hopefully I won't forget to test it when I'm free.
