@GhostHTX thank you. I'm not satisfied with the way cockpit turned out, but it's my first try with this technique. This one was finished before C-3, even though I uploaded C-3 first.
@Chancey21 rolling took a lot of tweaking. I had this baby fly like a fighter at first. Then like An-225. Then like this. Light transport planes generally don't do aerobatics. I'm glad you like it.
@BogdanX I could have also used intakes. But it's just two parts, and this plane didn't get anywhere near the part count that would require me to save on such small things. Thanks for the spotlight. I haven't had one in months.
You need a few more vertical stabilizers throughout the build to simulate yaw dampening effect of the fuselage. Fuselage adds some yaw stability. Also, make the rudder rotator slower.
@Theswiftswooper03 you are bronze level. Your point box is bronze. That's a level inexperienced users usually have. to see what I mean by "colliding tail surfaces", pitch and yaw at the same time. They don't really collide, but they move through each other. Remind me tomorrow to give you tips. I just came home from a celebration, and I have to sleep.
Buddy, you need to invest into custom control surfaces. This plane is quite nice, especially for your level. But tail surfaces colliding and ailerons and flaps moving through the fuselage palting of wings just kill it for me. Learn how to make custom control surfaces, and you have a good chance of going far in this community. I'll give you some tips if you want.
MiGs are cheap propaganda planes?! Don't make me laugh. From the shock MiG-21 caused in Vietnam to MiG-29/35 (best frontline/light fighter currently in service), MiGs have proven to be exceptional aircraft. Try to match them to their western counterparts. MiG-29 vs F-16, for example. MiG-29 is faster, more maneuverable, can carry more, has IRST, and in newer versions has electronics roughly equal to F-16. When both planes were tested with equally experienced crews MiG has shown a significant advantage. What bugs MiGs in conflict is the fact that MiG pilots from poor countries with just 40-50h of flight a year are going against USAF and USN pilots with 200-400h of flight per year. And the fact that US can bring more aircraft and overwhelm defenders enough to make them ineffective. One such case happened in Serbia in 1999. Two of our MiG-29s took off to intercept a threat. They were soon attacked by around forty NATO fighters using long range missiles and were destroyed.
@lancelot3340 well, now you see me. Nice Sukhoi. Performance could have been a bit better on TVC, it's a bit too easy to lose control. But it's not a big problem. Overall, nice plane. Better than stuff I was making when I was gold.
@ACEPILOT109 how interested are you into philosophy? If at all, you'll know that every wiseass in ancient Greece had a theory of how the world was created and often how it'll end. I found their ideas to be quite dumb, and religion got pretty disappointing when I turned ten and started actually thinking about thing. I also needed something to reflect my attitude about meaninglessness of life and death. So I created a whole new school of thought I mostly refuse to teach.
@logizAircrafts by reducing max input of engines. But that messes up the sound and makes them accelerate too quickly. Better set a large block's mass to zero and put a lot of fuel in it.
@logizAircrafts Here are three mods that you need for top notch building: Fine Tuner Overload Colour Editor
Overload is a mod that allows you to edit XML from the comfort of the game. Fine Tuner is a better, more accurate version of transform tool. Colour editor, well, a bit obvious. You may also want this list of all available XML options.
@logizAircrafts you can't go for realistic amount of fuel, as fuel consumption of engines on SP is unrealistic. You need a lot of weightless fuel to get 7h endurance of the real Citation X.
I am really enjoying these articles. Mind subscribing me to future ones so I don't miss them?
Btw, B-2 was used more than you think. It was even unsuccessfully fired upon by the same battery that brought down F-117.
@MrSilverWolf :)
+1@GhostHTX thank you. I'm not satisfied with the way cockpit turned out, but it's my first try with this technique. This one was finished before C-3, even though I uploaded C-3 first.
+1@Newplanewhodis I have a few more builds ready. I have lost motivation to upload for a while, but I'm back now. I stayed active in comments though.
+1@Ajforever51 that's great.
@GhostHTX I'm glad you like it.
+1Main gear should be just a foot or two behind CoM. Not as far back as it goes. Ruins a nice plane.
+1@Trainzo thank you.
@BogdanX I have scaled down mass, lift, and thrust, making it behave realistically. Actual numbers don't matter.

@Blue0Bull thanks.
@SuperSix it's a big plane with complex wings and panelled cockpit. How many parts did you expect?
@CSP27 it's based on An-72. I'm glad you like it.
@grizzlitn thanks.
Looks like BMP-2 with the turret moved forward.
+1@CSP27 yes. The other one is for ship builders.

+1You can join the biggest SP-related Discord server through a link in my bio. Simple Planes Masters Chat is a closed group, and you can't join it.
Needs a better name. Maybe "Taurus APC". Something stating its power. "a car" ain't good enough for such a nice APC.
+1Check Discord.

If my local postal service would start using these, I'm sure I'd be sending letters more often.

Finally, an interview. Good job.
Ow, fancy :)

+5@CRJ900Pilot if you cram an entire radar station into a medium size plane, it ought to be cramped.
Nice work, @xjm22 .
Yes, stall recovery is easy. But staying on target isn't.
@MasterGunner51 yup.

Very nice for the part count. Lemme just spotlight... :)
Do I see Ikarus Ik-2 up there? Also, the challenge itself deserves an upvote. I might participate.

It's a good base, but underdetailed. It lacks windows, doors, custom surfaces... Also, it's very low on fuel.
Congrats.
Btw, I think you should do one on helicopters.
I am really enjoying these articles. Mind subscribing me to future ones so I don't miss them?

It's a bit prone to losing control. Other than that, nice work.
Great job. It looks good and sails well. Maybe disable collisions on missiles next time, they tend to get stuck on the launcher.
@Othawne thanks.
@TearJerker it wasn't up to my standard, so I deleted it. It did have some nice features, but overall design was awful.
@Datom no problem.
@Minecraftpoweer no problem. A bit late for tips now, I guess :)
@Minecraftpoweer why ask me? If you like it and it works, it's good. Who cares if I like it or not. And I kinda do, even though it's a bit rough.
@CommanderSword a few of my vehicles can be used as civilian. Trucks, mostly. I'm not really into civilian vehicles.
@Fjorge get a hint dude. Plan was to fool them into attacking and wiping them out, thus clearing the way for unarmed humanitarian convoys.
