Why did you name it Messerschmitt if it's a Focke Wulf? (Those two letters at the beginning of the names of ww2 german aircraft, stand for their designers/maunfacturers:
- Meserschmitt - Me (example: Me-262)
- Heinkel - He (example: He-111)
- Focke-Wulf - FW (example: FW-190)
- Dornier - Do (example: Do-17)
- Arado - Ar (example: Ar-234)
- Fieseler - Fi (example: Fi-156)
- Henschel - Hs (example: Hs-129)
Can you guys add an attribute to the new cannon part where it is possible to set the cannon's thickness. Like, tge caliber woukd stay the same, but the cannon itself could be thicker on thinner
@AndrewGarrison
@WNP78 @EternalDarkness
Will you update this doc with the new parts:
https://docs.google.com/document/u/1/d/e/2PACX-1vTCfs-yqNlHkz26WuTzx8RQ2LV3JrX8EPB5czzAHrDDfEcvlsBYf7k2V5sm2q-sANGi9rx1omgeH8Qi/pub
The 1.8 update's parts aren't added yet either.
Or is there a newer version of this doc already posted somewhere?
@Tang0five We aren't talking about WoT (World of Tanks) dude, we are talkin about WT (War Thunder). Tho I played WoT too for 2 years, then I switched to War Thunder.
@Strikefighter04 I've started payin WT in about 2015 and I've been playing german tanks ever since and in the last few months, I've only been playing with the ground forces and have been farming for the german tech tree to reach the Maus and other beauties faster, and then poof, gaijin made all my effort pointless...
@CrashFighter05
- First satellite in space (Sputnik-1)
- First living creature in space (Laika in Sputnik-2)
- First living creature(s) in space that made it back to Earth alive (Belka and Strelka in Sputnik-5)
- First satellite to reach the Moon (Luna-1)
- First pictures of the far side of the Moon (made by the Luna-3 satellite)
- First soft landing on the Moon (Luna-9)
- First moon soil examples returned to Earth (Luna-16)
(funfact: A failed attempt of this achivement, the Luna-15 was done almost at the same time as the American Moon landing, and the two superpowers had to cooperate to make sure Luna-15 doesn't collide with the Apollo-11 space capsule)
- First man in space (Yuri Gagarin in Vostok-1)
- First woman in space (Valentina Tereshkova in Vostok-6)
- First spacewalk (Alexei Leonov during the Voskhod 2 mission)
- First moon rover sent to the Moon (Lunokhod 1)
@aerodummy to be honest, I didn't want to, I wanted the bergetiger to be the last version. But then the tracks 2 mod came and I had to try it out and it turned out so good I felt like sharing it, then someone requested to make tiger 131 with the mod so I was like, ok why not. But yea I really don't want to look like Im riding the same thing forever, I have a bunch of projects going on at the moment and I'm working hard to finish those as soon as possible, just to finally upload something different.
@Schiefensnarglez Yep I was thinking about him too, but there are other very talented modders too. But MOPCKOEDNISHE could really add some very great stuff as a dev
@Sm10684 No because books usually don't use slang, you'd only see it if the writer would want to express that a character is speaking with accent, then would he write 'lemme' instead of 'let me'
Lemme is more commonly used on the internet, not really in books. No it's not a real word on its own, it'a just the slang version/shortenning of a phrase
@Sm10684 sigh
Alright, lemme explain how the autocredit system works:
In each plane's xml file, there's a code which consists of 6 characters (letters and numbers) when the vehicle is uploaded, the website stores this code and then when you download it, even if you delete the entire plane and build something completely different (like you did with your hauler) this code remains in the xml file, so when you upload your new build, the server will immediately detect this code and will autocredit it. So no, not the autocredit system is broken, only you are too lazy to click on New Aircraft in the designer menu, and start building from there. If you just start building based on a downloaded plane, the system will autocredit it. The solution: if you want to start a new build, click on New Aircraft in the designer menu.
@Randomdoggo That's not how things work here. People don't just reupload stuff without changing anything, that's just stealing (even if he credits the original author)
I mean, if he gets upvotes for this post, he would get those upvotes for absolutely zero work, which is not really fair in my opinion. I hope you understand my concern
Quick advice: in the upload window, you can set the visiblity from public to unlisted, therefore only you can access it (and those who you send the link to) via the 'posts' button on your profile page
@aerodummy It is... eh... Yknow what? I should be less strict with the rules cuz it eliminates creativity.
Build it if ya want. I might give it an honorable mention 🙂
@aerodummy You mean the Tiger turret on a fixed platform for training purposes? No that doesn't, as I stated in the challenge description, you can't make such a huge change as removing the entire hull
@AnoniMosu well eh, quite interesting approach on the challenge.
According to the rules, it should be disqualified because it's not authentic (The germans only built Ersatz versions for the Panther and the Stug III, and those were copying american tanks not soviets) and because the gunsight is unusable BUT I won't disqualify it because I like how creative the idea is. (It might get an Honorable Mention, but it broke the rules too much to get a placing)
Very nice build, congrats!
@AdlerSteiner I'm planning to make a whole series of WWII tanks, and the Tiger I. and its variants was the first step in this, but I'm already working on the next one
@Irobert55 each time I'm writing an answer to you I do a ton of research but the more research I do, the more I realise how complicated military designation is. I think only the engineers, working at military companies and the weapon historians completely understand which is called what and why. For us, it seemingly makes no sense
@Irobert55 I think the difference is because of the term "grenade" in it. Weapon systems that have the name "grenade" are usually "small" in size (smaller than for example a tank shell) and can easily be operated by regular infantry. A hand-held grenade, or a rocket-propelled grenade can both be given to any foot soldier to use because they are small, portable and not too difficult to use. A rocket-mortar however, needs a whole crew of people with special training (and in the case of the sturmtiger, even a whole armoured vehicle to carry)
So there's a difference actually because a panzerfaust or an RPG or a bazooka etc. are all small, hand-held weaponsystems that fire rocket-propelled grenades, while the Sturmtiger fires ammo that is technically a rocket-propelled bomb.
@HarryBen47 sure
To upload pictures:
- Get your pictures (screenshots, or download from the internet etc.)
- upload them to any picture uploader site (I personally use and recommend tinypic.com but you can use any other similar website)
- copy the link of your uploaded picture (on tinypic, you gotta copy the last link from the 4 that tinypic will offer you after the upload)
- In the description of you post, you gotta write an exclamation mark - ! Then (without spaces) you gotta write square brackets - [] and then (again, without spaces) you gotta write your link inside regular brackets - (link). It should look like this
! [] (http://i68.tinypic.com/j7gf1t.jpg)
{Delete the spaces between the exclamation mark and the square brackets, and between the square brackets and the regular brackets. No spaces at all}
@TakicraftCorporation Juhu, szokás szerint nagyon fasza lett! Neked is kellemes ünnepeket! 🙂
