I think youl shouldn't add vegetation. This way it gives a wartorn city feeling, but with vegetation it would feel more like a post apocalyptic city and I think the former would be better
Eternal Darkness upvotes my posts quite often, but I see other mods upvote as well. As for devs, Andrew Garrison upvoted 2 of my posts but apart from those, I didn't see any other upvotes from him or other devs
@AsteroidAsteroidTheBook they are fictional US battleships: The one with the hull is already finished and uploaded. It is based on cancelled class of US super-dreadnoughts, the South Dakota (1920) class (which had no ship planned to be named USS Kansas)
(A fictional battleship named USS Kansas was recently added to the game World of Warships but there are a few differences between that rendition and the one uploaded to SP.com)
The ship without the hull seems to be the USS Vermont, which is a fictional ship that was recently added to World of Warships. (This ship never existed either)
(The reason it is just a deck is because it's still WIP I guess)
Both ships are WW1 superdreadnought designs, equipped with WW2 refits
@DILOPH weird, I just tested it yesterday before writing that comment:
I have 2 emails registered, one is set as the main email, the other is a secondary but the secondary is the one I use on the SP website. I changed the pic for the secondary and waited a few minutes and it did change so I really don't know what could be the problem for you, sorry :(
If you have several emails registered on gravatar, make sure that the one you are changing the pfp for is the same email that you use for SP. It also takes a few minutes for it to change
@EternalDarkness I just have more questions now lol
What does Sticky Post do? (I'm guessing that's the featured button but Im not sure)
What' does mod notes do?
What does Investigate User do? (That also brings up another question I've been thinking on for a while now: Do mods see unlisted posts?)
@EternalDarkness Now you actually got me curious about how does the website's UI look like for a moderator. Is it very different from a normal user's UI or just small stuff?
Since I installed the beta, my game almost always (around 90% of the time) crashes when I alt+tab out. The game works fine, then I alt+tab out to check something, then when I want to go back with alt+tab, the game just doesn't respond.
@AndrewGarrison
"Must not be starting from a spawn on Maywar*"
Did you spawn on a custom spawn location on Maywar or spawn on a custom/default spawn location at another island and then fly to Maywar?
My idea: the Tag Button
Basically, there'd be a button next to the follow button on every forum/video post, which you can press/activate. Doing so will send you a notification when that user uploads a new public build upload but only once and no more (after the user whose tag button you pressed uploads something, the tag button would go back to inactive and pressing/activating it again would restart the whole thing and again send you a notification if that user uploads again) How it would work in practice:
User 1: uploads a teaser forum post for a build
User 2: presses the tag button on this post (when visiting other posts created by User 1, User 2 would see the tag button be activated as well. It can be activated/inactivated on any of User 1's posts)
User 1: uploads another teaser (maybe a video post this time)
User 2: doesn't get a notification because it's not a public build post
User 1: uploads the teased build as unlisted
User 2: still doesn't get a notification because the post is not public
User 1: publishes the build (alternatively, if he/she uploads it as public in the first place instead of the unlisted+publish combo, User 2 would get the notification immediately)
User 2: finally gets a notification about the post. His tag buttons on User 1's posts go back to inactive
User 1: uploads another public build post
User 2: doesn't get another notification because he/she didn't reactivate the tag button on any of User 1's posts
I know it sounds kind of confusing but I hope it's understandable enough and I think it would work. Basically it's just a one time Follow button that only notifies when the next build is uploaded after it was pressed and then needs to be pressed again.
I think this could be an effective way to improve the website and to counter mass tagging.
@UWUSEMPIE Currently, the WIP Abrams uses the tracks mod but if there's a demand I might as well make a modless version (same goes for the M1074 and the Leopard 2 builds).
As for the Tiger rework, the whole point of that build will be to make custom tracks for it (while also improving some other aspects)
@MemeLordMASTERMEMES A friendly little advice: you can only tag maximum 3 people in one comment, the rest of them won't get the notification, make separate comments with 3 tags in each to properly tag everyone you want ;)
@FLOWRIDER0 I never cared about any of the dramas that go on the website, I'm just here because I enjoy building and want to share my builds.
I decided to finally buy SR2 because I've looking videos of it for a while now and it just seemed as fun as SP so why not
ZeroOnDeactivate needs an activation group:
Let's say there's rotator that can be controlled with VTOL, but ks locked by AG1. You activate AG1 amd move VTOL and the rotator will move accordingly. Now if ZeroOnDeactivate is false, then if you deactivate AG1, the rotator will stay where it was left (and moving the VTOL sloder wont affect it until AG1 is turned back on again), but if ZeroOnDeactivate is true, then when you turn off AG1, the rotator will go back to its original position.
Your problem here is that there's no activation group here, therefore ZeroOnDeactivate does nothing. It only does something when an AG is involved.
As for your problen, I'm sure there's a solution to it with funky trees but I'm not any good at that so I can't help with it, sorry
@WarshipDude okay, I'll remove your request from the list then because it's already in the works (well at least planned). You can follow progress of the build on the Updates page.
@MobilefriendlyT800 It's simply the rule. Kids under 13 can't register without their parents' consent. But if they know about it then it's fine I guess 🙂
@MobilefriendlyT800 I'll see what can I do but I'm afraid it will be around the same part count as my USS Arizona.
Also I think I have bad news for you...
The minimum age limit on the website is 13, unless you asked your parents first. Do they know you are registered here?
@MobilefriendlyT800 what I'm trying to say is that there's no need to show the original, you can just upload your edited version and the autocredit system will show the original. 😉
Also yes, I'm already building the USS Oklahoma
@FLOWRIDER0 Oh I see. Thanks for the explanation. But you see, if that glitch would happen with unlimited uploads, it would fill the site with spam and also probably kill the servers
From time to time I see new players uploading their builds 3 times within a few minutes. I'm not sure why they do that (they aren't sure if the build was really uploaded? or simply don't know how uploading works?), thankfully this limit forces them to not to upload the same thing more than 3 times. Now imagine of there wasn't a limitation and a new player would keep uploading the same thing again and again and again: it would completely spam the website, make good builds get lost in the spam, make it nightmare to report all of them as spam and also a nightmare for mods to delete all of them.
The 3 upload limit is good, there's no need for more.
@Usatiger It is built upon nagisa's frame 6 build but that is not available on the site anymore. But his suzu build is also based on it so you can use that one to make your own walker maybe. I'm not planning to release this sailor as it was only built for these videos

Anti-Static loop, whatever that is

I use my real name tho simply for the reason that I was never creative enough to come up with a good nickname for online stuff

@CoolPeach as far as I know, it is allowed to tag someone if they request it, but yeah I understand your point.

@DafaARK before the 1.8 update, this is how "the real one" looked like and trust me, this build is 1:1 scale to that
@WereOutOfNamesArentWe Yep
@BagelPlane Yeah me too, but who knows, maybe in a future update we'll get one. Let's submit a user voice about it or something and hope.
+1It's fake, WNP78 confirmed it.

Yes, time for custom AI ships with actual turrets!

Looks good. It looks like the combination of a Bf-109 and an Ar-196, I really like it
