Plate armor was more of a late mid-evil era thing. Victorians mostly had them on display. They were aware the age of guns was here and that armor was ineffective.
Honestly I’d rather have a stand of tactical gear on it than an armor stand. If I wanted to have something to idolize, I’d look at myself in a mirror wearing a ball gown
