@MTakach This mod just simply gives access to the already existing dev console that @NathanMikeska implemented ages ago. The dev console allows you to access game objects in the scene and change their properties while the game is running. It gives you a tremendous amount of power, but it can be a bit tedious especially on a mobile device.
Thanks for letting me know about this bug. I believe it should be fixed now. Let me know if you are still seeing it. @SuperSix @BlueCitrus @randomusername @TrueSlav
@CrazyCatZe @Astoundingcameron @PositivePlanes @Seanbon007 @AerialFighterSnakes @SuperSix We are hoping to get the mobile version out this year. We have been holding off on the mobile version because you can't do early access on mobile and we want the game to be solid enough that we won't run the risk of needing to make any major changes that will affect player crafts. Also, once we release on mobile, it will slow all future updates for all platforms after that point. We can release updates so quickly when we're only releasing on Steam. I do feel that the game is feeling much more solid now and I'm hoping that we can start making real progress towards the mobile version soon™. Really the last remaining task that can have a big impact on the stability of the game is campaign mode, so we want to work that first or at least simultaneously with the mobile port.
We also need to find out where SimplePlanes is looking for the new AircraftDesigns. It should also be one of those locations listed above, and it should have the new stock craft "Gator 2.xml". If you copy your AircraftDesigns into the new folder, they should show up in SimplePlanes.
If you are having this issue, I have a few questions:
What location did you find your missing airplanes?
What location was SimplePlanes looking for the new airplanes?
What version of macOS are you using?
Where did you originally get SimplePlanes? Steam, Mac App Store, or Gumroad?
Do you currently play SimplePlanes through Steam or the Mac App Store?
If you are using Steam, do you have Steam Cloud Sync enabled?
We adjust the buttons in the designer to hide some when they can't fit. It might be hidden under the rotate button now. You can also try reducing your UI size in the main menu to get it back.
I was unable to get this to work in SP 1.7, but I was happy to see that it loads fine in the SP 1.8 alpha build that I'm testing today. This thing is amazing! Nice work!
@StockPlanesRemastered I believe it's the rate at which the throttle changes per second. So if it's 0.5 it will take 2 seconds to each 100%. If it's 4 then it will sake 0.25 seconds to reach 100%
@HuskyDynamics01 I’d prefer to keep the limit where it is for now. The radial engines get pretty heavy on the poly count, and until we can bring that down a bit I'd like to avoid having 4 rows as an easily accessible option.
@Timplanes It technically could support effects like that, but we aren’t simulating it at that level. In practice it didn’t feel worth the added complexity, and the benefit would be hard to notice while the downsides could end up feeling confusing for some players.
@terine we plan to add a turboshaft engine that you can connect to a propeller or to wheels or to both if you are so inclined. That's the beauty of the new powertrain system.
@alexJgameYTukraine000000 turboprops are planned, but not sure if they'll make the initial release. I'm really looking forward to building a turboshaft powered car at some point.
@YarisSedan I just pushed another update, but I have not been able to reproduce the issue so I'm not sure if I fixed it. Please check and let me know. If it's still broken, please send me a link to a craft that demonstrate the issue.
@PlaneFlightX The quarter and year buttons are now hidden until later in the year, as they were a bit confusing and currently returned the same results as the month option. As for the devs, we're in hiding, so you'll have to find us! The 'All Time' button has been removed from the highest-rated page for a while now. Some of the airplanes featured there were so outdated and no longer functioned well, yet they continued to receive upvotes due to their high visibility. Additionally, that page wasn’t great for database performance.
Looks like you need to edit the URL attribute of the Aircraft element in the XML to match the URL of the craft you are uploading to. Should be a six character string. Sometimes it's difficult to edit game files on a mobile device, so this would be much easier on a PC.
@V @TheMouse It appears this is how the site has always handled hyperlinks, because I rolled back before my recent change and checked. You can fix it easy enough by putting using https://3ds.hacks.guide for the link instead of 3ds.hacks.guide
@GuardianAerospace yes, we'll have a chat message UI in the game so you can talk via text, but I imagine most players will just use Discord for voice chat.

+4@Gameboi14 I did an honest lol when I saw this video. You even captured how he ducks away from the mic. Brilliant!
+4This was suggested a while back and it is currently on the web todo list. I agree it would be nice.

+4No, it's not possible to recover your password. You will need to reset it here:

+4That appears to be correct, SimplePlanes is looking in the wrong place for them.
Your missing AircraftDesigns folder should be at one of the following places:

+4It is done :)
+4Can you send us your log file the next time it crashes? You can find it here (assuming Windows):
+4C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SimplePlanes\SimplePlanes_Data\output_log.txt@Spectre2520 I agree! This is the lamest beta ever! But, also really important.
+4Absolutely stunning work, @suzutuki65.
+4😂
+4@MajesticAerospace We plan to do the final release next year on all platforms at the same time.
+4It should be fixed now. Let me know if you're still seeing the issue.
+4Something like this?
+4I agree it would be nice. I'll put it on the list. Hopefully someday I'll actually have time to implement it.
+4@Supercraft888 We're slowly picking up speed, but it'll be a while before we reach orbit.
+4@kikasshes I thought so too, so I just added it, but you have to Show All Comments before it shows up.
+4@speedster4006 Contact us again via the contact link below.
+4@Warmelon Go to your Manage Account page and change your email to the correct email address before sending the confirm email.
+4Reported. This is a copy of my plane.
+4@Graingy yep, we allowed anonymous planes in the early days but there were too many penis planes so we started requiring accounts around late 2015.

+3@Berulacraft @OverlordPrime we have a new update in open testing that should fix this issue. Can you give it a try? You can opt into the beta here.
+3@StrikerUreka22 the GOG version will not be affected. This update is only for Steam for the time being.
+3@Superliner350 Netherlands tag has been added

+3@YarisSedan Thanks for letting me know. I believe I broke this today. I'll look into it tomorrow. Should be easy to fix.

+3@Graingy hats are a good idea. We will certainly be looking ways to customize Chad.
+3It's a great build, but unfortunately I cannot curate it for VR because the performance cost is too high and it runs too slowly on Quest devices.
+3Should be fixed now. Thanks for letting us know!
+3@Dracul0Anderson Funky Trees should not be affected by this update and should still work as it did.
+3@IzzyIA We upgraded Unity and had to update the input system due to compatibility issues with the old version.
