Today we are releasing our final update for SimplePlanes. Release notes are here. We had a few small features and several bug fixes that have accumulated in our repo so we decided to finish them up and push out a final update before sailing away to the next project(s). This will be our last update for SimplePlanes, unless we have any critical issues that pop up, but hey that doesn't mean the story ends here!
You might ask "is the next major project SimplePlanes 2?" Great question! That's a very strong contender and there are other ideas that we are very excited about as well. The team has been focusing on researching and developing core technologies that can be used in future games.
Today we are also releasing an update for Juno: New Origins along with a collaboration with @Linx bringing his amazing KSP mod Parallax to Juno with improved performance and visuals.
To celebrate all of this we are going to offer a week long discount to all of our titles on Steam, so if you have been thinking of getting the original SimpleRockets or SimplePlanes VR, now is the time!
These discounts apply on top of the Aerospace Engineer bundle, so if you want both Juno and SimplePlanes or just one of them and you already own the other, you can get them with an extra 15% discount.

I have found a new bug in the latest version of simple planes and it has a major impact on most of my builds:
The 'disableAircraftCollisions' function in the XML for the new levers and new style switches doesn't work, it will collide with cockpit parts even when I disabled the part collisions, making the cockpit canopy unable to close or open. I hope there will be a fix for this problem, thanks!

Edit: I think this bug may be related to the detacher, because my canopy is connected to a detacher, after removing the detacher, the problem is temporarily solved. (But it is still a bug!)

MANY of my old ww2 planes are not loading after the update .they crash the game.
I thought it was my fault when it happened to one right after update and I thought nothing of it.
But today now my old saves of planes I downloaded are not loading --

I never thought I'd see the "end" of simpleplanes. And all those April fools jokes and fake post pranks about sp coming to an end is actually coming true.
This kind of feels like saying goodbye to an old friend, in a good way of course. I have been a fan of this game for years and I have seen loads of updates and game changing features come in. (And I don't even speak in behalf of the OGs of the SP community) Seeing where simpleplanes was when I first joined to where it is now is remarkable, and even though this is one of Jundroos older games it never felt outdated to me. Simpleplanes is still my favourite single player mobile game to this day, and the most advanced and limitless vehicle building games I know of on mobile. This game will forever hold a place in my heart.
I don't want it to feel like a goodbye, but more like a tribute to this game and the work behind it, the community, the development and everything and everyone who had their part in making this game so special. To everyone involved, I say thank you for keeping this game alive and the best of luck with any future projects.
