@Graingy I can’t really think of any insecurities that might be brought up through joining a multiplayer server. The only stuff where you could have problems would be if you’re the person hosting the server, obviously there’s stuff like DDOSing but there could maybe be vulnerabilities in the server software that could mess your computer up. The server host might be able to see ip address and stuff but if you’re under a CG-NAT (Google it) or if you have a vpn there isn’t really anything they can do with that. Even if they can as long as they’re reasonably trustworthy you don’t have much to worry about, not much a person even with malicious intent could do with your ip.
I doubt this is intentional but the third image reminds me of the Halo maps from the old games. The Ambient Occlusion on that last one looks nice but goodness please improve that runway texture. Also huge shoutout for crediting the resources you've used to make this stuff.
@Graingy if you decide to use music I would recommend Pixabay, it’s all royalty free and iirc doesn’t need a signup. I hadn’t heard that about Kevin Macleod, that’s actually kinda funny
@YarisHatchback you would need access to a computer (not necessarily the PC version of SP) and some rudimentary knowledge of Python, if you meet those prerequisites I can probably tell you but if you aren’t going to be able to use it to help people I’d rather not share willy-nilly if you know what I mean
I think that convoys and bridges are reloaded each time you visit a new area. This is why you can’t pick up a convoy vehicle and move it to a different island. The boats are handled differently, for whatever reason they are persistent and if you use jet engines and magnets you can take them wherever you want.
Find your aircraft file path (should be able to do this in Steam iirc, just find the game files)
Ctrl+F to find the location xml attribute (idk what it’s called)
Change the one that’s a really big number
@THEOKPILOT I knew mainly just because the code was very “professional” looking. ChatGPT always puts in very descriptive comments, headers, variables, and ids, which is something most humans probably won’t do if they aren’t super experienced.
@dots sometimes I find it’s best to let the dopamine go away for a while. It doesn’t have to be going outside, but maybe reading a book or going to the gym or lap pool would be wise. Basically if you find yourself playing a video game at a high level for 8 straight hours you’re going to become very unhealthy very fast in both a physical and mental sense. Just be careful bro
Don’t try steering a submarine with it
Try using the search feature, there are respurces out there
@Graingy oh yeah I didn’t realize there was one called SP Gang dangit
join the alliance!
Seems pretty achievable honestly, if you just grind for 5ish years I think you could do it
@Graingy yoooo that’s a great idea
@Graingy you raise a good point, but still there’s not much to worry about even if everyone knows what your ip address is
Revenue minus staff wages and server/game fees
@Graingy exactly the same risks since that will most likely be p2p and not hosted on any official server

@EternalDarkness 🫡
Would the server software work on Linux with Wine?
@RepublicofKomi should be able to do that to the build I linked
It would appear as if the images that used to be here are broken.
@RepublicofKomi follow the guide here
It’s a lil tricky but it works.
Edit: the images don’t work anymore so the guide itself doesn’t work, but you can still dissect those wings and look at them.

Some music would have been advantageous but otherwise, quality video.
@SPWithLizzie the chosen time
@Hiiamhere nah the photography map thingy
Is that my map mod?
@WisconsinStatePolice I’m stealing the crap out of that
@RepublicofWrightIsles just saying that if realism is what you’re concerned about then making a whole forum post to discuss it is a smidge annoying
all this stuff is great, are the assets and stuff going to be in the mod tools?
One does not simply say that they don’t want nuclear fallout and make it go away.
Sounds fun but I unfortunately don’t have time in the near future, maybe try somewhere on Reddit?
@Dissent3R @YarisHatchback I missed it :/
Pee
This… isn’t true?
@YarisHatchback I’ll let you know if you ever need it
It’s not that I don’t trust you, it’s that I’d rather keep it on more of a need-to-know basis

@YarisHatchback nah I don’t want to bother
@YarisHatchback aight I’ll take mine down
@Flyinguy because they’re physics objects and it would be hard on processing at least back in the day to keep track of hundreds of bridge pieces.

I love this so much
@Mitterbin no dang it
Fight me dang it
Would probably look a bit better with some opacity and rounded edges
Dude Independence Day is such a good movie
@Graingy all it does is show the hidden folders in the file explorer, so no there’s not a performance hit or any change in file structure

Dang it I was at 31.9k for like 2 weeks
@CDTX2011 should work pretty well actually
I made this a long time ago lol
In real life that plane would stall like crazy lol
@spwithlizzie thank you so much

@SPWithLizzie yooo thank you so much I’ve been waiting for this to happen lol
