Solent S-9 Orion

The Solent S-9 Orion is a Norwegian-manufactured electric light-sport aircraft.

Promotion

It's the newest and most modern in both engine efficiency and comfort, boasting a quieter cabin than ever before, and with a 61 KW electric motor its maximum speed is up to 225 knots for up to 3h30min.
It's got an advanced Autothrottle and Flight Director system for the least chance of anything going wrong. And if by some absolute anti-miracle something does go catastrophically wrong, there's an integrated drogue parachute for a safe descent into whatever unfortunate terrain lies below. If there is any way of landing safely without the parachute, like a road, landing shouldn't really be an issue there either. Its surprisingly low stall speed of 42 knots (78 km/h) you should be able to land on most highways without crashing into any cars before you. If you're reading this, you can comment something about titan, the moon of saturn, before anyone else, and recieve 15 upvotes if you have enough builds. This slow stall speed means it can take off and land on much less space than you'd expect from its appearance, with takeoff distances of about 180 meters to an altitude of 15m and landing within 80 meters. Its compact size lets you park it in most of the smallest aircraft hangars and even some regular garages.

@XEPBAM you don't care about my crafts, but because i'm apparently "not interested in their realism" (which i am btw, i do still think this could technically be real) you are interested.
    right.

@TheLoadingGorilla no you were infact not rude, quite the opposite actually

@XEPBAM i'm not going to put this through some advanced aerodynamic simulation just to see if it would theoretically be the perfect shape with the perfect wing profile and perfect flaps and perfect tail booms and perfect everything. I just think it: 1. looks nice and 2. looks like it would fly in real life. which to me it does.
    .
also you're an alt of that dbqp ragebait-bot-guy, aren't you

@XEPBAM Sorry if I was rude, but I do not see how that was constructive? This is just a game about building stuff. All the complex laws of physics cannot be contained in a game, and telling people that their aircraft isn't technically aerodynamic is not helpful. Unless you yourself want to change it and make it aerodynamic I don’t see how this helps anyone. I’m not here to argue, so goodbye (again, sorry if I was rude I didn't mean to come off in that way).

@XEPBAM This is a game. This is not reality. The plane flies in the game. If you do not like it then move on.

I'll be honest, I don’t know what he's talking about with the takeoff thing. I was able to take off just fine and the plane got up to 140mph very quickly so I had no trouble with that. I like the way it looks too.

@Solent This is a great plane.
@XEPBAM Your criticism is not helpful and is making this less fun for others. Please stop or continue in a respectful manner. Thank you (no I’m not a moderator but sometimes I wish I was).

@XEPBAM well if there are any other methods of making "electric" planes, tell me them! there's no reason to gatekeep stuff
if you truly struggle to take off, that's a you problem because i've not heard about any performance problems from anyone of the 2858 others that have downloaded this plane
    .
again, the short tail beams are a design choice (that i still like btw) and you should please just live with it
    .
99% of the planes on this site have less attention to detail in the wings, that's what i meant. And that's not a reason to call them idiots, almost all of them are great

@XEPBAM 1. That's a design choice, that's why the vertical stabiliser(s) are so large. The slight pitch instability is mirrored in the flight model.
    2. you are objectively wrong, it takes almost exactly 30 seconds to take off no matter if you're on high or low physics (the fact it takes that long is a limitation of rotator powered planes in this GAME(it's a GAME, alright? i can do whatever the [four letter word] i want!))
    .
also don't whine about the wing profile before seeing literally 99% of the other planes on this site

Continuing the discussion of Titan, I believe I remember seeing a KSP video where somebody attached rotors to a rover on titan. They were comically small but it flew just fine. Assuming the pressure is more or less that of earth, would you be able to survive with just insulation, heat, and oxygen? Combined with the low gravity and abundant methane, it could be a great place to colonize. Easy to get high up eith wings or land with aerodynamics, plenty of fuel to harvest, and you can design structures without as much pressure consideration.

On Titan, which is not to be confused with Triton, the biggest Neptunian moon The atmospheric pressure is actually around the same if not slightly more or less than earth’s, and combined with lower gravity, you might be able to attach wings to your spacesuit and fly without any aircraft. It also has full liquid bodies of liquid, mainly Methane, due to the low temperatures approaching 200 Celsius below. Titan is also considered a planetary-scale moon because of how large it is compared to other moons and terrestrial planets, namely Mercury.
