B.M.C Magnificent 1969 (fictional)

Fictional Lore:

By the mid 1960s, the B.M.C company noticed the rise of other successful sports car brands and so the decision was made that the company would try to break into this market as well. They wanted to open a new factory in Europe anyways to take load off their French and West-German factories and so the new location was chosen to be Milan, Italy, hoping to draw in some of the great Italian sportscar engineers and designers (while also recruiting some from Great Britain, West-Germany and some other countries). The new factory was up and running by the late 60s, producing already existing models, but work was underway on the company's first luxury sports car. And so, in 1969, created primarily by the British team of designers of the factory, the new B.M.C Magnificent hit the market. While the car slightly underperformed compared to some of it's competition, and the price ended up being higher than the company hoped, there were enough of it sold to make the investment worth it and continue the project. The Magnificent saw 3 more generations before production was ended in 1975, and by the later generations, most of the problems with the car have been fixed and it became quite the cult classic among car enthusiasts. In 2019, for the 50th anniversary of the car's release, a limited run of 50 Magnificents were produced, mostly bought by collectors.

    @SumateraIndustries It's a 1961 Jaguar E-Type, possibly the British answer for the Japanese Datsun 240Z Fairlady Z
