RNZAF Boeing 727-100 QC

The RNZAF purchased 3 Boeing 727-100 aircraft in 1981 from Boeing to replace its existing fleet of Douglass DC-6 transport aircraft. The 727 also known by pilots as the "Tri Holer" served the NZ military for 22 years before being retired in 2003 - being replaced by its older sibling, the 757. Only 2 ever entered service however. NZ7273 was the shortest lived aircraft being parted out at RNZAF Woodbourne shortly after arrival. NZ7271 and her sister NZ7272 lived a long career spanning 46,000 flight hours. NZ7271 was exported in 2004 to Swaziland and then the DPRC where it is assumed to have been reduced to spares, while NZ7272 was flown to Woodbourne to be a training aid for aircraft technicians. In a sad turn, the tailplane and S Duct were cut off, and it sat outside in the elements for almost 10 years. It has since been given a new lease on life with the Nose section being sent to Wigram Airforce Museum to be put on display.

The Landing Gear is as realistic as I could make it, it comes with functioning drag braces, and semi realistic strut and wheel physics. Press Action Group 1 to open and close the gear doors before and after retractions.

Flaps are modelled and effective for both drag and lift! Flaps are triple slotted and bound to Trim down. Be careful with landing speeds, Just like in the real 727, high flap settings cause high sink rate, so you have to keep it throttled up as you add more flaps. Recommended to use Flaps '30' Which is 3/4 trim down, coupled with a crisp 150 knots on approach.

Engine performance and noise is as close to I could make it to the real beast- the JT8D-7. Takeoff power at 90-100% with a touch of flaps or approx 5% VR at 160kts. Easily makes a swift cruise at 35000ft of 70% power and 430 ish knots.

There is a slight issue where sometimes it just randomly explodes when spawned in air. Exiting and reentering fixes it for me.

I'm getting the engine sounds and the flaps and gear work properly, but the speed isn't climbing and the plane isn't moving at all on the ground. Anything I can do to fix this?

Question: can the rear air-stair be deployed mid-flight? Just wondering.

Did you xml the shocks you should increase all shock values by about 15-20% to start@Axhliay

@ChisP There are 4 shocks in the struts, if you land to hard the shocks explode causing the rest of the plane to exlplode too. I have tried to fix it, but I gave up. Changing settings hasnt amounted to much

@Mustang51 The only reason that the flaps are trim was because VTOL was originally something else. After the recent update and funky trees I was able to encorporate that system into others, but just didnt change over the input. Its not hard to do, Ive just gotten used to using it as trim.
