NGDF-X 'Snow Owl'

7,329 0ut16w  10 months ago

Made by United American Continent Nations' Lockheed Martin and Boeing, this project was jointly developed at an extremely fast pace to respond to the threat posed by the UEA's super plane XPVM project. It was put into production during the Asian-American war that started around ~2052. It was deployed after the tide of war turned to favor the Asians, unfortunately for the UACN only three was ever put into service.

NGDF stood for 'next generation dominance fighter'. The pilots used a newly developed neural link technology to pilot the aircrafts. This way, the pilot would be able to gather and process data faster, and drastically improved the responsiveness of the aircraft.

The aircraft famously did not use an afterburner, as Boeing deemed it unnecessary and that the aircraft was already sufficiently powered. This also increased the stealth of the aircraft.

The aircraft had an extremely large frame, this enabled low wing loading and increased control surface area.

This specific model was the plane of the infamous UACN ace nicknamed by UEA fighter pilots as the 'Snow Owl'. The Ace was deployed to defend the Alaskan region 1A-X of the UACN defense network. The Snow Owl famously had a full white paint job, helping it blend in with the terrain below.

During the war, the UEA wanted to take zone 1A-X Anchorage as it was an excellent location to set up a forward base. Snow Owl defended Anchorage almost single-handedly for weeks until UEA's famous ace pilot 'Polaris' finally felled the Snow Owl in a duel.

@LIQUIDconsumer when the pilot wants to go to sleep, it will help by knocking out the pilot using high-g maneuvers. Very easy to use.

Looks like an absolutely terrifying combination of the X-49 Night Raven and the ADF-11F Raven. I love the super tiny landing gear, very dinky and silly looking by comparison to the rest of the aircraft.

@0ut16w thats true. though the way it can be exploited is, well imagine flying by a whole fleet at mach 2 and completely disentigrating it without diving. is it fun? absolutely lol

@erridkforname it originally wasn't like that, but later i realized it was just too difficult to zap a target close range and not crash.

the way the laser works is in such a way, you can flyby the target while firing and they would get disintegrated even though its not a direct hit from the laser
