This white cross style comes from a very famous photo shoot in 1968 in ‘Prague Spring’. The white cross painting on the top of the vehicle is a traditional method to help aircraft identify the mate since WWII in Soviet Union.

T-54/55 improve the top speed, stability and steering ability. It can turned 360 degree without moving forward! (Differential speed between two track) The top speed reach 13~14mph.
Also, the suspension system help the tank improve a lot on the offroad performance.
