Hey y'all, this is just to raise awareness.
There is another ebola outbreak in Africa, this time in Congo.
Over 1,100 people have died already. And the number keeps getting higher.
Why, you might ask, is this number so high, even with an experimental cure, AND a vaccine at hand? Didn't the world learn from 2013-2016?
To sum it up, the people of Congo are getting mad that the doctors are taking the patients away from the best medicine in the world, which is the comfort of one's home, and the healing power of their god.
In response, they are blitzkreiging health camps, murdering doctors, setting the infected free, then attempting to cross borders with the bodies of dead ebola patients in the backseats of their cars.
This is, unfortunately, NOT an exaggeration. Doctors are now being forced to go undercover in fear that they will get murdered.
I urge you all to donate to organizations that are currently helping these doctors save lives, such as the Red Cross. I don't think people know just how CLOSE we were to a global pandemic of ebola in 2013-2016.
I am legitimately terrified that, even with a cure and a vaccine, the death rate of the 2013 outbreak and the death rate of this outbreak in Congo are roughly the same. Who knows what will happen if this begins to spread again.

Alright that was a terrible joke, and I better follow it up with a serious statement, lest I be labeled as insensitive.
It’s a really bad situation going on over there. I wouldn’t be to worried about worldwide doomsday because of it, but we should try to help those in effected areas. That means the entire world to them.
