Here are a few photos of every one of my model aircraft that are displayed around my room. These are just the ones I could find, I'm sure that I have more lying around somewhere!
Also, if a few of them look a little damaged, that's because I've had them for many years, and they've all been through a lot at this point. What plane should I get next? Or maybe even, which one should I make in SimplePlanes?
P!ane
I got a big plans too
Awesome
I think you should do all of them
Get GeminiJets m8
@ACEPILOT109 cool!
Cool, I got my brother the same Red Baron plane!
I have a TON of Matchbox cars and planes and stuff. @AWESOMENESS360
@InternationalAircraftCompany Yeah, It's my best model!
That P-38 is an absolute unit.
@Spitfirelad05 Yeah, it's my largest model!
@Jetliner101 ok, for a second there, I thought you had 1,400 models! And yes, you should try to get a picture, as long as you're fine with doing that.
@AWESOMENESS360 p-38's a big boi
@Strikefighter04 sure, you can!
@ThePrototype thanks!
@Jetliner101 wait, do you mean you have 1,400 scale airplanes, or 1/400th scale airplanes?
Maybe I should show my diecast stuff...
Very nice
@AWESOMENESS360 yeah now that I'm viewing this on my computer instead of my phone, I can tell it's definitely a Guillows, I made their Piper Super Cub (static model, no way would I be able to make a flying one) and it came with a catolouge with that P-38 on it. On the topic of modelling, if you like it, you should look into papercraft models, they're quite impressive when built right, and can sometimes rival a plastic or diecast kit. You just print out a template, cut out the pieces, and glue them together. Here's a link to a model Corsair template
@ThePilotDude The P-38 was given to me pre-built from my Grandfather as a gift, he's very good at making those scale models, he has like 20+ of them in his garage! His best model is a B-17 that has a four foot wingspan! As for the brand, I'm not sure, maybe I'll ask him next time I see him, but if I had to guess, I'd say it's Guillows, since they seem to make a lot of airplane model construction kits.
@Chancey21 I built a few of them, some are diecast metal models, others were given to me by my grandfather, and some are just little plastic models. I made the Fokker Dr.1 Triplane, the AH-64 Apache, the balsa wood models, and the Lego P-51.
Did you build those?
Aah, an aviation enthusiast's greatest wish; to have so many models you don't even know how many you have.
Also that P-38 looks glorious! What brand?
