The main feature I want it to have is a twistable stick so it can have yaw, and for it not to be jerky (like when you move the stick it isn’t just instant pressure to the centre, it wants to move back to the centre more and more the more you pull it)
Oh and I want it to be good value for money. I’m not the richest boi in the world. Maybe try under $100 NZ.
Hey peeps I wanna buy a new joystick (cuz the one I have is absolutely terrible and even using the keys is smoother than using the stick) and I want the most value for money one. Any help?

I just us a wooden stick um some buttons that the stick hits when I move it is so janky
yeah i recommend the 3d pro, its pretty easy to use and i have used it for a while until i stopped, it was for a flight sim class and it was an easy to use joystick. This was posted a month ago so i dont know if you have got it yet, but here is a link to it: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826102204
I already when to Trademe. Also I would have had to wait a while for shipping if I when there I think. @asteroidbook345
That’s alright. It’s more for Deadstick than SP. @Kaos
don't get this they look cool but break really quickly. The buttons fell off mine, and the yaw randomly flicks side to side without me even touching it. Other people have similar problems.
The Logitech extreme 3D pro is a good one, mine works quite well and it's really durable
As some have said, get the Logitech Extreme3D Pro. Great value in a low price, as well as being well built and compact. It includes a little throttle knob at the bottom, twist rudder feature, as well as extra buttons. (could use with AG groups maybe? Personally I prefer just pressing keyboard numbers)I've had it for about a year now, and never had any issues with it, connects instantly, and I don't need to reenter controls every time. The Thrustmaster X-Hotas is a great choice as well, but more expensive, probably since it has 2 sticks; joystick and throttle, and you said you really didn't need the throttle. So I would say, save some money and go with the Extreme3D. Hope this helps!
I have this joystick, it has a twist rudder function on the stick and is made by Logitech. It is amazing! Link to it. I use it to play SP and Xplane11 Heres the link:
@jamesPLANESii the stick isn't too jerky. It's comfortable, and easy to move without too much resistance
I was JUST about to make a post asking about a decent joystick :D
You'll probably get more feedback than me xD
@jamesPLANESii The Hotas also has variable resistance which may aid in reducing jerkiness.
Not very as long as you calibrate it regularly @jamesPLANESii
logitech extreme 3d pro for the rescue. ıts so damn cheap and ı can use it even as warthog hotas
How jerky is the stick? (I don’t really need the throttle because I’m getting the stick for Deadstick and that is a single engine aircraft) @BaconEggs
Hmm yeah that looks pretty good too. @BaconEggs
Uhh I want a joystick not a steering wheel XD @StallFlight
That’s the one I’m thinking of getting. How jerky is it? @Chancey21
Ok @Tully2001
Lol, I don’t know what kind of planes you fly XD@StallFlight
Logitech G29
That title tho
If I were you I'd buy a throttle as well. I'd suggest a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro with a Thrustmaster X-55 Throttle. I have a Thrustmaster TWCS and it works fine, but the X-55 has dual throttles.
neither of the ones i have listed has a twist feature (idk about the logitech one ask ThePilotDude he has one) you have two options here you can buy the logitech extreme 3d pro ($35 us dollars)
or the thrust master usb joystick (the one I have) ($25 us dollars)
I have to calibrate it around once a day, not bad @CursedFlames
@Chancey21 I commented about this stick; it's a good option for it's price. Does seem a bit jerky for me though; is this a normal thing for this joystick?
