Can we just BAN the "I'm leaving" posts already?

18.6k F104Deathtrap  5.8 years ago

You know the kind. The sob stories, the shameless publicity stunts, the pointless admissions of boredom. They clog up the forums, they breed negativity, they constantly claim the game is dying.

Half the time it's some guy thats only been playing for a few weeks.

I get it, you want your friends to know you're leaving. So make a private post and link your friends in it.

If people truly cared about you, then they would check your profile. That is a good place to put your status.

I know where you're coming from.
But at the same time, complaining about it doesn't change anything. I think you have to understand that people want to say that they're leaving, even just to give themselves some peace of mind. If you don't like it, I guess just ignore it? I personally don't click on it unless it's someone I know and like.

@Chancey21 tbh if they're a great builder and under 15k, which there have been, then of course I'll want them to stay. But if I see someone with like 15 points saying they're leaving, and joined like 3 months ago... i don't get it

They’re annoying when they don’t have a good reason. If they say something like:
    .
    Gudbye scrubz im leaving forever
    .
    Or:
    .
I’m not getting enough attention wah wah”
    .
But if it’s just a simple post explaining real reasons then I think it’s okay. And as Chancey said only popular users matter anyways.

Nobody cares unless you’re above 15K
After that it is polite not to leave without a trace
