@Falkenwut I decided to keep going in my quest to remake the Boeing 747. I'll keep trying until I got a 747 that is
.
A: Mobile Friendly
and
B: Pretty realistic.
I feel you in terms of how hard this was to make... I made a New York-class refit that could operate a recon plane and retrieve it via a system of two cranes, winches, and magnets. I salute you with this design.
Just a little tip if you want to expand to really big projects and then you encounter issues with braking: from my experience building a 747 who's wings go off the edges of the runway, use VTOL thrusters powered only through braking and with no such rotation allowed. Then, bury the VTOL inside the main build with maybe an inlet snuck in there.
Really good plane, btw. Relatively versatile and can take off of water (only 1/12 of the time, though...).
The Bosnian Ape Society House Scene was supposed to reference this little post I made years ago:
https://www.simpleplanes.com/Forums/View/1627883/Now-what
.
However, in the Great PC Depression of 2024 where I committed a little oopsie attempting to clean it through suboptimal means, the source footage went missing and I can't be bothered to search through the 2TB hard drive MicroCenter gave me to recover it.
.
Who knows? Maybe I'll try and remake it.
This project's sat unlisted on my account for 1.6 YEARS.
.
Yes I've been trying to innovate on my airliner construction methods. I think I did a pretty decent job.
.
.
.
That landing gear still looks cancerous though.
This is it. This was my interior design arc like 80% of the way through.
.
The newest iteration of this (which hasn't been backed up) has rollsigns on the sides and put in some of the windows.
This project was actually sitting on the website unlisted for like 7-8 months. The actual version I decided to toy around with is HALF the length of this one.
Gonna copy and paste the process of making this here:
1. Build model
2. Put camera
3. iPad struggles because processing cost is too high
4. Crash down on the quality of build
5. ProCreate (THE ART PROGRAM, NOT THE ACTION FFS) and trace out the outlines of each individual car.
6. DaVinci Resolve and animate each and every separate car in a "cascading"/"following" animation pattern.
7. Giphy crushes gif quality and here we are.
If you are wondering, this was animated in the following process:
1. Build model
2. Put camera
3. iPad struggles because processing cost is too high
4. Crash down on the quality of build
5. ProCreate (no, the art program) and trace out the outlines of each individual car.
6. DaVinci Resolve and animate each and every separate car in a "cascading"/"following" animation pattern.
7. Giphy crushes gif quality and here we are.

ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS MAKE A PROTOTYPE OF SLIDING DOORS AND I FELL TOO DEEP INTO THE RABBIT HOLE OF MY OWN CREATION
For stupidly high detail, it's a stupidly low amount of parts. I congratulate you on that. :D
+1The worst thing to hear on Halloween: "Doot"
BLAM
+1That's one stelfy plein
+1This somehow ends up as the best Kamikaze plane I’ve flew.

I CAN’T DO S* WITH THIS. SCREW APPLE.
Brilliant mod, though. Good job. :D
+1“and get as far away as you can”
No escape...
(Lol. I can’t even download this. Screw Apple sometimes...)
+1I hate the fact I use an iPad sometimes...
+1Thanks, @Falkenwut. By the way, I’m still trying to manage that 747 AAC challenge... xD
+1I feel you in terms of how hard this was to make... I made a New York-class refit that could operate a recon plane and retrieve it via a system of two cranes, winches, and magnets. I salute you with this design.
+1I can reach a max speed of 1561knts and a max altitude of 202848ft.

+1SnIpEE sNiPee...
+1Beyond anything I built so far, at least...
+1THIS IS IT, GUYS!! Finally. I can build a Supersonic!
+1Big Gunz
no.
BIIIIIGGGGGG GUNZ
+1First upvoter, commentor...
Nice plane. Good stabilization, well-placed landing gear, and a single engine at the front makes for good thrust.
+1My suggestion: add some form of wing gun or something; this will create a small reticle when the thing is launched.
+1Propellors:
chuckles I'm in danger!
+1@drgunblood About your question to build a fuselage brick Concorde...
+1Could use landing gear though...
+1I love it. {Note to all of you people: This is something you DEFINITELY need to upvote.}
+1So cute and so flyable! 🤣😃😀😃🤣
+1It’s cute, and easy to maneuver. 😃
+1This thing gets the honor of being the first ever plane I ported over and flew in SimplePlanes 2 during that demo lol
@Graingy damn I didn't even consider "private chats"...
ok yeah it ended up being part of another New York remake

This became surprisingly relevant after the SimplePlanes 2 test.
So many civilian airliners tryna land on the flight deck lol
ESF (EggShip Fleet)
Pill plane
@GabDaGamerSP "That's a nice little match you got there. Unfortunately for you, I am a SimplePlanes AI."
Is this even an airplane game anymore or just a game engine in a game engine?
@YarisHatchback I stopped dragging my feet on it lol
I decided to stop being lazy and get working on something new. :P
Somehow, this is still sub-200 pieces.
@YarisHatchback kinda unnecessarily stalling a bit right now over some small details...
So as of March 30, I can say iPad's repaired; production continues.

This thing lags my iPad too much. I hate it.
@pofeveb9 intense flashbacks
I'm beginning to learn the true meaning of that game crashes counter lol
HEY REMEMBER WHEN THIS WAS ALL I HAD TO WORRY ABOUT WHEN IT CAME TO SLIDING DOORS???

NOW THE iPAD GOT BRICKED.
UPDATE: My PC died, I lost all the footage I recorded, but I still have the rigging for this.
I might get about to finishing it sometime in the future.
@Sarp17 PE only; wish I was old enough to comprehend Minecraft when it first released as an alpha development thing.
