Depends how people use it. If you asked me a month ago, I would have leaned more to the "yes" answer. However, I do not use it at all like social media. I just upload planes and relevant forum posts.
@bjac0 @Avro683Lancaster @Patrick20206 Thanks! I have updated the desc with controls, as well as a lengthy story about the design process and related lore.
@QXY So, in theory, impulse engines would still be viable after 1.7. However, wierd things happen at high altitude with these, making them explode without any logical reason.
@CaesiciusPlanes REFLEX systems are short-range, instant lock-on missiles with a 90 degree locking angle. They have a trade off of slow (but not crippling) flight speed. Perfect for fighting against interceptors.
Well, you can always tag me on an unlisted post, so we can talk there. First, if you haven't already, download WNP8's overload mod, and play with some of the values.
This isn't necessarily the place for such posts. Perhaps you could use a more traditional social media site for such posts. This is a plane building site, after all.
@DarthAbhinav Thanks! When's i first joined the community, I tried my best to emulate what the big users were doing - custom cockpits, fighter bodies, etc.
You are a pretty high-caliber builder. I am surprised that you didn't reach that milestone a while ago. Anyway, congrats on reaching gold! I should have followed you long ago.
Dang. All of the good challenges perfectly align with me having much less time than usual. I'll see if I can enter, and don't worry, I read the "no futuristic" portion of the rules.
The cockpit and wings are quite nice. I would recommend that you use a custom color scheme. That enhances the look a lot. Also, I would recommend that you put some small details on the fuselage.
@Baldeagle086 Makes sense. Now that health can be modded, large vessels are actually viable in combat. Big, meaty tanks of aircraft can be made, instead of nimble fighters that avoid damage at all costs.
@Flightsonic Missiles only correct heading when launched. So the turret doesn't move, but the combat result is roughly the same. My most recent upload demonstrates this.
quite nice. A fleshed-out version (that being, a fully designed plane) would be awesome.
Certainly intricate work.
@EternalDarkness Thanks, I deviated from the hyper-futuristic style and decided to go with something more functional. I'm glad you like it.
@Ghavin2000 Dogfighting is a blast. You avoid missile locks when they approach, then unleash the missiles when they get near.
@BaconAircraft haha, I'm too lazy
@Tully2001 Thanks for the spotlight. I put some extra effort in this one, so I am glad that it will reach your followers.
OK, here's a few, in descending order of part-efficiency: Aeroflier, Sol:Agressor, PROJECT: Null Mass, Null Sector
If you want, I can link you to some low-part planes of mine that look quite nice. They are a little old, but should still work.

+2Looks great. The cockpit design is very nice.

@Prinzessin Depends on the device. 458 is the final part count, so it wont rise any higher.
@Prinzessin 458.
Move quickly (at 500mph) or go far. Throw some evasive maneuvers in there, too.
Kind of goofy looking.... I love it.

@DarthAbhinav I did it with the map. Each individual ship is a single picture. This poster is actually a bunch of images formatted into one.
Yep. Having a social life is more important than SP. Otherwise you would end up posting random forum posts about drama.
Very well done.
@DarthAbhinav The photographers' map? I already did. You can find a link in my bio.
@DarthAbhinav I already did, and upvoted. It's a very nice build.
@Tex Its a pretty good weapon. The arm design is nice.
@Tessemi Yep. I gave a length constraint to this one, so it could be classified as a cruiser, rather than something else. 200ft was my maximum length.
+1No problem. Also, do you use an NVIDIA gc? There are a few workarounds with NVIDIA gpus that have been posted in the steam discussion board for SP.
@DarthAbhinav Thanks! When's i first joined the community, I tried my best to emulate what the big users were doing - custom cockpits, fighter bodies, etc.
+1I had a similar problem. If AI traffic is enabled, disable it. That's what fixed it for me.
You are a pretty high-caliber builder. I am surprised that you didn't reach that milestone a while ago. Anyway, congrats on reaching gold! I should have followed you long ago.
@Harunami It's certainly an annoyance at close ranges. Good fight, and good video!
@EternalDarkness On a small boat, I would most likely go for a stealth design with flare guns anyway. Maybe some missiles and a CIWS system, too.
Dang. All of the good challenges perfectly align with me having much less time than usual. I'll see if I can enter, and don't worry, I read the "no futuristic" portion of the rules.
@dootdootbananabus Alright, shoot me an email and I'll fix that right away.

@Iamsilverdahedgie @Solarisaircraft @Ihavenorealideawhatiamdoing I have uploaded the ship!

@Mijmaj Yep. Low weight makes it more fragile than a normal aircraft.
@FlyingManiac @Mijmaj Thanks! I have updated the desc.
@Feanor @Dllama4 @bjac0 Thanks! I have updated the desc.
@EternalDarkness @phanps @Mumpsy Thanks! I have updated the desc.
That would be quite fun. For now, we can just have fun with 360 degree locking missiles for that kind of defense.
@dootdootbananabus The large one is the main craft. I set the AI enemy as a red-colored Elite: Lancer.
I have some time now, so I can probably help later today.
Looks pretty good. I can tell that you tried out some new techniques, advanced techniques, too.
@Solarisaircraft Its a cruiser, so no need for a hangar.
@Ephwurd Sounds good.
@Iamsilverdahedgie That plane is the PROJECT: Null Mass prototype. An old favorite of mine. I'm glad you like it!
@DeltaAerospace Health of any part can be XML modded now, so no need for armor.
