With its distinctive star-shaped wing configuration, the Sol is used by high-profile mercenary associations. The craft was perfected for use by AI, too, so in large-scale battles, it is not uncommon to see one of these fighters with an empty cockpit. While very dangerous, not many pirate or criminal factions posess a Sol fighter, as it can only dock to a certain model of mothership.

Tips:
Try the yaw!
Combat is best at about 50% throttle.
It may be a little hard to control, but when controls are relinquished to AI, it dominates at close range.

I found the Sol so tough to tangle with in a dogfight. I had to make a cheap getaway and missile it down in a plane with a missing elevator, haha.. :)
