Love the feel of the pitch, looks real good too!
Accelerates too fast and roll rate is too high though. Could’ve been fixed by decreasing drag and power and by decreasing the deflection of the ailerons.
Very epic! Love the detail!
@randomusername on iOS it’s way easier to build things larger. That’s why my cars are built at 2x scale and scaled down later cuz I’ve initially built them on iOS
After seeing what you said on the Discord, I think the reason it looks good and bad at the same time is because it’s a bit disproportionate. The wheels are too big and the car is a bit wide. But everything else looks really cool.
If you make it narrower and make the wheels smaller, I think it has potential. :)
In settings, go to safari, and near the bottom, there’s a thing that says “request desktop website”. Click on that, and turn it off. Bam. No need to change the website setting every time you go into the SP website.
Stall speed: 0-20 mph (Not recommended because these planes have stuff like slats and ridiculous flaps and VGs that help them fly extremely slowly and the only way to get this slow in SP is to make the plane have a ridiculously low win load and that makes it fly really terribly, like it’s on rails, which is not good.)
Max speed: 50-70 mph
Weight: 550-750 lbs
Takeoff/landing distance: 5 to 50 feet
Wing load: plz don’t make one of these. They don’t work. You will have to make it sub 1lb/ft2 to get it to go slow enough
If you didn’t get it, just don’t make these in SP. There are no slats or triple slotted flaps or VGs in SP. Yours won’t fly right. It will feel crap. Believe me.
Cub sized plane (bush class)
Stall speed: between 0 and 40 mph (aim for around 35mph. This seems to be the sweet spot for bush planes)
Max speed: between 90 and 150 mph (more radical and draggy landing gear and engine power effects speed)
Weight: 750-1300 lbs
Take off/landing p distance: around 120 feet you should be aiming for. If you have a tail dragger, when you’re slowing down, the brakes should be about as powerful as it takes for the plane to balance on the main gear.
Wing load: 3-7 lbs/ft2. Just make your wings a realistic size and shape (usually the span is a little less than 1.5x the length of the aircraft)
Climb rate: 1000-2500 ft/min
If you wanna make a traditional STOL aircraft, just build one of these. They’re pretty fun. Also there’s quite a lot of variation in performance in these planes because a lot of people modify them in their own way.
Tourer (Like the Cessna 185)
Long story short, make it perform a regular GA plane, but give it the ability to fly a little slower (stall speed around 50mph). Also storage space is important with these planes because they’re made to hau
Yeah. A plane like this should be able to do more than this using slats and vortex generators. Doing this with traditional nothing-special wings in SP is quite a feat @QingyuZhou
Not sure what the use of the tails folding is, I mean, they aren’t taller than your every day F-18, and they don’t make the plane substantially lower anyways because the engines stick up, but other than that, it’s pretty good!
Dude you’re 1,700 points off, that’s a whole build or two worth of upvotes. This post is kinda begging for upvotes. Only do the ‘really close’ thing when you’re less than like 300 points off.
It’s not quite the “final countdown” yet man...
Another thing that grinds my gears is people making their planes fly absolutely perfectly without any shaking or wobbly controls and turns always being coordinated. Planes don’t fly like that. They wobble, they stall, and you need to be careful to fly real smooth. Planes aren’t designed to fly well when you harshly shove that yaw all the way to it’s extremum very quickly at speed.
Like, I guess you can’t just share a random aviation video, like FlightChops’ IFR status VLOG, but if it is related to something significant in the aviation world ATM, like maybe the final episode of Plane Savers, or a video that reminded you strongly of how you fly in SP, it should be fine. Non-aviation vids, PewDiePie’s vids, nah that’s completely off topic, but if it’s related to the community like Destroyerz117’s vid today, it should be fine. Also with your vids that you’ve made yourself, if it’s aviation related or SP related, it should be fine, but random stuff with no relevance, nah.
That’s just the logic in my head, there isn’t really a set “yes or no” thing really.
Flying this thing feels like pushing a shopping trolley backwards.
+2Same lol
+2yay
+2Underrated build. :D

Ok these are pretty good lol
+2How to make the sites mobile all the time:
In settings, go to safari, and near the bottom, there’s a thing that says “request desktop website”. Click on that, and turn it off. Bam. No need to change the website setting every time you go into the SP website.
+2What does a propeller have anything to do with turret stabilisation lol @randomusername
+2I saw FLY8MA’s notification when I woke up and I thought it was clickbait lol @JohnnyBoythePilot
+2No an about 40kt gust hit it and it blew it like a kite and it was unrecoverable. @randomusername
+2Wibbly wobbly flipperty flopperty spinny wingy thingy @BaconRoll
+2Do you have the upload with screenshots mod active? Because that causes the game to crash randomly.
+2Woah I’m sure I upvoted this...
+2Maybe some day I should make a plane with a really high part count that flies really badly when I upload it and see if anyone notices lol. @BogdanX
+2*angry villager noises*
+2Ahh you were at 5 feet! XD soz
+2Unfairly showing off. :p rip
+2Np! @IlikeToFlyandcrash
+2Basically a bush plane is that plane that:

I see the reference for the second one, and the fact that he called a part of the plane awful isn’t the whole story...

+2I used to play SimpleRockets 1 and when SP came out there was a notification in SR and I downloaded it.
+2Oh yo you were on MP lol
+2Tbh, the builders I strive most to build like is BaconAircraft for detail and BogdanX for his building techniques.
